You sell ONE thing through "hype". You sell many things because people realize that you delivered. That's kind of how hype works. Either the hype dies when the product is released. Or, the product proves, at least in part, to be worthy of the hype and the company earns a reputation as such.

Here's the thing. At this point, both companies have been able to trim the fat from their initial production line. So, the slims represent a newer production line. This means, traditionally, that production is less expensive...meaning that they can cut prices and start to reach that magic number that helps penetrate further into the mass market. Old models will see an initial cut to clear room for the new stock. That's basically creating demand (in terms of the sales) and also demand ...

I was 11 years old at the time. All I knew was that we had to use power converters for most of our Japanese electronics. Might have worked...who knows!? Plus, although I learned a bit of functional Japanese, I didn't read the language. So, I waited. Lol

I remember playing this console before it launched. I was actually living in Japan (military brat) and we used to go to the local game/anime/comic spot and play the demo stations. The place was usually pretty empty (because we were in a little town up north). So, it was usually a walk in and play affair. Not this time! There was about 100 people crammed in this little all-in-one shop crowded around one tiny tv...watching Turbo Graphix games. We must have waited 2 or 3 hours just to play. Afte...

Mine has been once a play session...each session being around 3-5 hours. It seems like it's always when I am interacting with the stuff around colonial outposts and when I'm just getting to a planet.

I don't think that Hello Games was being purposefully dishonest. I DO think that they had bigger ambitions than what could be delivered on time AND they were placed under a microscope like no other indie developer I've ever seen. I think that they did a good job of showing you exactly what you were going to do, while keeping the mystery about possibilities alive. THAT might have been seen as misleading. But, every developer does that. That's part of PR talk.
In the end, ...

This is a bit like No Man's Sky underwater edition. (even though it was first out). But, it includes base building mechanics and keeps expanding in biomes. It's another survival/exploration game with lore to discover. Though I've not played it, I've watched tons of streams. It looks interesting...if you like this type of game...and...Yes...that's another "this game isn't for everyone".

That engine in DriveClub was pretty versatile and doing some things that could be sacrificed for more frames. (I believe the devs actually pushed it to a somewhat stable 50 fps..IIRC) Either way, the dynamic shadows and lighting, volumetric clouds, even some fidelity on cars themselves could be lowered or replaced to get some added frames. They could use pre-baked lighting and shadows to tax the system a bit less.

@FreeSpeech69...BLM don't use their cause...but there are people that use these protests as a means to exact revenge. They are disaffected, young, and ignorant of what they are doing and more importantly why they are doing it. But, as I said before, are not inductive of BLM.

As for the rest, yeah, racists aren't going to change. Nor is BLM trying to change racists. If you can be "pushed" toward being racist based on the actions of a few. Then you were prob...

I disagree. You have the right to be offended. You just don't have the right to think that everyone has to be equally as offended as you. Offense is very subjective. It's like an opinion with a belief system (cultural and personal) wrapped around it. Look at the way cursing is seen, or even nudity from culture to culture.

Exactly...so why not embrace it as part of the narrative instead of citing "coincidence"!? All they had to do was explain what you just did.

Let's do a little logic...All lives matter IF AND ONLY IF black lives matter, white lives matter, blue lives matter, etc. THAT is the actual point of contention that people don't see or agree with. Black Lives Matter basically has an implied "Too" on the end.

@meka2611...it's not about the raw number, it's about the proportions. There are far less black people than white people in America. Yet, blacks are anywhere from 3-5 times more likely to get shot by cops. Up to 10 times more likely to get stopped by cops and are sentenced up to 7 times more harshly. Read the DOJ reports coming out of Baltimore and Ferguson and you can see that there is quite a lot going on. Also, this doesn't give them the right to threaten or harm cops.

I FULLY agree that the movement lacks organization and structure in terms of leadership, protest structure, and even "rules". (most of which can be found in historical struggles in civil rights) That being said, I don't find their demands terroristic, as much as authoritative. Remember, MLK was hugely ignored and dismissed until Malcolm X began screaming "by any means necessary." Then, suddenly, MLK wasn't so bad of an option.
As far as them losing their ...

I actually think that the devs would have done themselves a favor by just saying that they DID take inspiration and then explain how that works with the struggle of Augs. At least, it explains that it wasn't just a trivial, thrown-in decision and actually might have some merit. Right now, just saying it's "coincidence", makes it seem trivial. (and it might be in comparison to other things that they are attempting to explore with the narrative). Either way, a little thought a...
