To be fair, some of those Atari games WERE made in months and by small teams of 2 or 3 people. Publishers were forcing a crap ton of work out of those poor guys back then.

I guess people don't remember the days of $80-$120 games on the SNES?

Shhhhhhhh! They might hear you. Even worse, they might actually listen!!!

They improved on those DS4 issues shortly after the launch run. My launch DS4 had the exact same issues you named. I purchased a second controller from the "improved" batch and haven't had either issue...and that's over a year and a half of regular use.

Damn I miss the Driver series!!! Underrated as hell, imo.

The issue, at least as I see it, is twofold. One, stop trying to force games to be open world. Some concepts and stories work well and some don't. Two, stop creating large worlds for the sake of large worlds. There has to be something compelling about the world for most people to want to see it all. What we need is more openness in terms of experiences in these open worlds. GTA V does a good job of allowing different things to do in a large world. But, even it could be much better. I want...

At this point, you could probably smoke some of Snoops hair and get just as high as smoking a blunt. Over 20 years of blazing...and that's just what we know of his habit after he became famous. Lol

IIRC, the PSVR was just as quick on Amazon (both times). That being said, Gamestop PS3 numbers were very low per store...with smaller stores getting as few as 30 units on the first run. (I remember this because I hadn't completely paid mine off and got lucky that the manager saved the 1 unit that they had to sell to store employees for me.) It's a good sign that they seem to be ready to move some units. We just have no idea how many.

I think that there were already too many things that NMS was trying to do, aside from VR, that kept it from being a VR title. (You gotta remember that it was a PC title before Sony fell in love with it and decided to bring it to PS.) Perhaps they could do it in the future. But, right now, I'd prefer that they continue to craft and hone the experience that we already have.

Doesn't matter to Sony...a sale is a sale. Plus, the scalpers need a market to scalp on. If there was no demand for the unit, scalpers wouldn't be rushing out to grab them.
Truth is, we don't know how many units are in the 1st run. But, it's a good sign that they are all spoken for at this point. The test will be how strong that demand is past the 1st run.

The pros usually tweet 2K with the request. Then, 2K hits them with a screenshot tweet.

Gamers have every right to complain and criticize regardless of price. However, at a point, it becomes nitpicking. The biggest issue that this game had, imo, was that it was crashing so often for people. IMO, Sean was pretty clear about what you did in the game. He even made sure to say, after his extended demo sessions, "this is what you do". The MP issue, imo, was blown out of the box by consumer expectation AND Sean's inability to confront the question head on. Though he DID ...

Different elements and compounds respond differently to changes in temperature AND pressure. They have found evidence of moving liquids on planets in areas this cold or colder...it just wasn't water.

You DO realize that there are still a possible (and very conservative estimate) 100 billion habitable planets in our galaxy alone, right? Now, if you are talking about the solar system, that's another thing entirely.

As food for thought, there are also thought to be 100-200 billion other galaxies in the universe. Each with a similar star/planetary distribution. Once again, this is a low ball estimate. Extrapolate that out and we are looking at a universe in NMS that mig...

Or, and just a thought, what's mundane to one person might just be exciting to others. All games employ repetition. But, if a person actually enjoys the repetition, then it's not mundane. Maybe jznrpg has a higher threshold or just hasn't hit hat saturation point. Or, maybe this game is actually still fun for him. It doesn't take mind control and indoctrination for a person to enjoy a game...even one that is supposedly "bad".

Funny! Though I am still enjoying the game for what it is, that video was a pretty snarky commentary on the game. Best part???? "FEATURING...ROCKS...!!!& quot; 😅

Nice vid. Your planets are close to some of the good ones that I've found. I've also run into dinosaurs similar to those herds..minus the protrusions on the head. (mine had crests like a rooster...and were very aggressive.) This is one aspect of the game that I will always like...other people's discoveries.
It's hard to tell whether or not Planet E3 exists or not...with 18 quintillion planets and all...but these are the ones where I DO stop and enjoy the view for a b...

EA swooped in and licensed several of the leagues, and some teams, entirely. I think Arsenal and Liverpool are the only Premier League teams. PES snagged a couple German teams for Champions League. I know PES got Barcelona and the stadium. But, other than that, licensing is all over the place. If it weren't for option files, PES would be in trouble this time around.

Edit: @Speak...yeah. I'm assuming the licensing agreement expired and EA beat them out.

The real issue is that the comparison itself is what is silly. NMS and SC have things in common, but their core goals are completely different. NMS is a survival/exploration game with the idea of discovering clues that lead you to understanding what has happened in the universe and on the planets that creates a sense of loneliness. SC seems to take the more traditional, futuristic colonial approach where man has indeed ventured far from Earth and established bases to live and work. IMO, SC se...
