@LightSamus
That again puts it in a new light - if that happens (and it makes absolute sense), ELITE could offer something valueable indeed, at least for those people who enjoy the yearly dosis of CoD (I for one don't, but I can see why it is appealing. I had fun with it, but got bored to quickly - and to be honest: I just can't get into the play style, I raged all time at CoD because thus I quit...)
That would indeed suck, I give you that point. However - I think it has two sides, but looking at BFBC2 I still argue that this was a good move. They talk about the tedious "Death-Life-Death"-c ycles in the article, and I myself got stuck in those a few times, so I'm all in for the new mechanics...
You still make a valid point, thus I clicked "Agree"...
Yeah, you are probably right - looking at the sales charts it still sold solid throughout the year, I just assumed it sold well at the beginning at the sales were declining - I was wrong...
Saying that for example 18mio is "going down" would be way out of line, because that would be still on top of everything else. I expect that Blops is indeed an anomaly, caused by MW2 priors success. MW2 was so over the top and all over the place, people loved it and were pumped for Blops, adding a nice marketing-spree from Activision it sure pushed the sales. But I still argue that MW2 is the reason why Blops sold in the first place. Now - enter the "after Blops-market", p...
You probably will get the points anyway. But what if you risk your life reviving a guy which lies in the middle of enemy fire (that is what you risked your life for :) )? He then can opt-out...
@Apocwhen:
Ah, thanks for the heads up - that's why I said "probably" though, because I didn't know the details here.
So make it:
If you want to enjoy ELITE features afterwards, you have to pay $50 continuesly.
"Ripoff"? Are you serious? BF started way before MW was even on the plate... if you talk solely about modern-times shooters, BF2 was released in 2005 while CoD:MW was released in 2007. BF ripped off CoD? That is just stupid.
they don't go back and forth, it the journalists who take the things wrong someone says. The first quote stated that there will be "less destruction" in the sense that you will have more cover-env. which is indestructible, they never talked about whole building at that point.
But that isn't even completely true, because it seems like everyone is overlooking the fact that Elite is $50 per YEAR. So, in order for you to continue to play with your Clan (and probably even continue to play your DLC) you have to pay another $50 the next year . Hugh - what is that? Suddenly the price mark at $75 for the DLC sounds good? Don't mind that "next year" the next iteration to the CoD-series will be made and MW3 will be forgotten by the publisher - you'll se...
Nah - it was announced 5 years ago, but that doesn't put it "in developement", because they game was "on hold" a long time, so there was no progression whatsoever to it. 4 weeks could have been enough to realize that they should put out the right version for the PC Crowd...
It would def. be better - at least you can go ahead and complete quests. I like it, I have a blast playing it, but those moments where you stand in front of a house which you barely reached because of the two Thugs appearing right before it and now you need to get into the house to finish your quest, but there is no way whatsoever to get in, are so damn furstrating that I ragequit every time.
I don't even understand why someone would post a translated article anyhow, it always turns out to be a bad-read. But what is more disturbing? That someone actually approves it.
there is so much wrong with your post @Bull5hifT...
You still don't need to upgrade your PC, that is nonsense. I'm playing with a rig that is two years old now and I still can play all new games, mostly in 1080p - not everything maxed out, that is true, but still at very high quality. The PC cost me far below $1000 (it was at $750) at the time. For 1000$ you can get a decent pc with the blueray already integrated.
A monitor is even more reused, you don't need to bu...
His heart stopped beating - let's pump some roboter-stuff and nanoparticles into him, it all will be fine!
Seriously - you believe that this kind of technology remotely exists? Green Light for RoboCop in RL?
Also - you will pay the fifty bucks every year you want to have access to ELITE...
I'm so pumped for this game - can't wait :)
Why is this in the PC, Xbox 360 sections?
But I wouldn't technically call it "competition" when then publisher decides to sell it only through one service. That is not competition. If EA would go on to sell the game through Steam AND Origin, that would be competition, because Origin would have to actually deliver something in order for you to buy on it - same goes for Steam. But if it is only available on one platform, well the choice is taken from your hand.
Agreed - especially the last one was hillarious
also "literally spread their legs"? Why would they do that?
