Two things strike me when reading the article:
1. Patcher is talking about FY:15 - which means Fiscal Year 15. This probably means that "2014" is a very broad statement considering that FY15 has not yet begun it may very well land in 2015.
2. Noone is talking about releasing a new BF game except Patcher.
3. The original article does not mention anything about releasing a new BF in FY15 - they clearly only speak about "if".
...
You're surely right that the PS4 will feature a far more robust PSN. Considering that Xbox probably won't see a PSN any time soon.
He is reffering to "Playstation" not "Playstation 1", since that was not the official title of the console. It was named "Playstation" not "PS1" or "Playstation 1" - there is a "PSOne", but that was a second, improved version.
Seriously - I don't get it. I don't want to bash on consoles, but talking about the complexity of PC games without having used a PC for gaming in a long time (obviously) is just talking out of your ***. Drivers update automatically today, no need to do this manually. Steam/Origin/Whatever updates your games automatically as well. Having multiple platforms to buy from is also a big plus, because that adds to the sales, etc. The market is not dominated by one big player with his distrib...
Really? Comparing games streaming from a BD (which is soooooooooooooo slow) with ones coming from a HDD? Why would anyone be proud of that? I'll just take the 10 minutes to install a game and then don't care any longer about it...
If you think that you have to buy a new video card every month (or every other month) you clearly haven't used a PC in a veeeeeeeery long time. I'm still running with a 2 1/2 years old GPU and it pulls almost every game in very high ...
Why o why:
Because the console players do the exact same thing? I mean, personally I think those arguments are beyond silly and stupid - why don't we just play on the things we like instead of dishing out against the preferences of others? I really do not understand that.
Impact on the industry? What impact? Somehow the gaming industry lived through the past two decades, becoming bigger and bigger every single year - despite piracy. Something must be "off" here...
While I appreciate the effort from Greenheart Games (no DRM and all is a nice touch), they still don't give out a demo version (see my edit below). I hate buying things before I'm able to try them. Granted - it's only 8$, but not everyone can just "pay"...
He's certainly right about the colours. But - this is a common theme between thriller. Be it movies, tv shows or games. Thrillers tend to paint the world in darker, more monochromic colours. I'd think that there are people out there who could explain why, but I can't (it's probably about the depressing feeling you get when looking at those set of colours throughout).
Gaming journalism? Haven't seen anything like that in a while.
You know, there are people who can't afford two games at a time. He's not saying that he will never own GTAV, but WD will be first for him.
More like PS5...
Yeah, should be "4.5/5"
Happenend to another article about Infinite as well.
N4G: Your systems seem to be broken, there is no statement that the game only received a 4 out of 10, the article on displays "Grade: ****". So, they gave it a 4, but I'm fairly certain that the total scale is lower, i.e. they gave it a 4 out of 5.
Anything else wouldn't make sense, the article doesn't really criticise anything about Infinite.
"It's by far this years best game" - he said, in March.
If it ruined the experience for him to 2/3s - does he really need any conclusive reason (beyond the reason he gave you already) to say it ruined the majority of the game FOR HIM?
Dishonored was exactly the game I was going to mention. It was very, very engaging, you playd whole parts without any actual violence (I know I did), playing hours at a time without ever getting out the knife at all (I never even used grenades, guns or bows at all). It really excelled in engaging the player into the world they built, Dunwall to be precise. I was thrilled that they choose to do it this way.
Or remember Mirror's Edge? Sure - you had shooting elements, but t...
Guess you didn't follow reviews in the past few years? ;)
Honestly - >90 score in this time is "very good", >80 is "playable, and probably worth it", >70 "it's okay, I guess", >60 "What is this supposed to be?", <60 "The game won't even start, but the idea is pretty neat, I guess?"
The scoring systems are so broken nowadays, I stopped reading the scores altogether. A game needs to b...
Yeah - just googled it, and indeed you're right: They switched lead platform and I missed those news. But that doesn't mean s**t obviously - because the game is done so well on PC, I don't care what the official "lead platform" is. It is clearly optimized for PC very well (My point about premium is purely based on the DLC, on nothing else - I thought you meant the early release of DLC on PS3 which would account for "lead platform")
Well - I dis...
You should learn to read carefully:
Where exactly did BF3 switch the lead platform? Simply because the PS3 got early access for DLC? That's not what determines "lead platform" (also - you are able to circumvent this by purchasing premium)
The special feature is not rain, it's not snow, it's not wind, or any specific wheather at all. It's about _dynamic_ wheather. So - on one day you could play a map with the brightest sunshine, on the ot...
@delboy:
That is... simply not right.
When the PS4 releases, everyone who says that the PS4 is WEAK, will be proven wrong.
I don't get why you are still comparing apples and oranges. A PS4 is _specifically_ designed to play and render games. I'm fairly certain that it will outperform most PCs used at that time. It probably will be on par with the High-End PC-builds. But still - that is all speculation and you cannot say anything for certain yet. <...
Obviously those comments were written by Employees of Activision. BF4 has no issues - it is a bug-free game with everything in place. ALL the troublemakers are from Activision trying to push CoD instead.
