@raymantalk1:
You surely don't understood what KwietStorm was trying to tell you?
Here, easy, so you can understand it:
1. GribbleGrunger states that the _OS_ (!!!) will have plenty of RAM dedicated to it.
2. You answer "But you said Cloud Gaming is the future!"
3. KwietStorm answers to that: "He isn't speaking about RAM for gaming, but about RAM for the OS"

See? The OP wasn't talking about RAM for gam...

As a developer, SE surely lost credentials over the past few years, mainly this generation.
But as a publisher Square Enix is still very well placed, releasing many of the top titles this generation under their hood. I think the influence they have is also coming from that - a strong publisher is very important to the gaming market thus the influence is still heavy on SE's part methinks.
Although - since this is a developement aspect they are talkin about, I wonder how mu...

Still don't know what the big deal is, as long as it is "early access" and not "exclusive access".
EA is a profit-based company. And as a company you want to get as many pre-orders as possible because it is easier to work that way (there are a LOT of reasons buisness-wise). Hence you promise the gamer early access, and the gamer tends to buy it earlier then (in this case: Buy into premium which at this state is something like a "pre-order"). They giv...

Generally the site is rather good (if you can speak german), but I have to agree that the translation stuff simply sucks.

You are aware how stupid that sounds, aren't you? "Give us cool gamers" - yeah... you're obviously a cool gamer.

Well... I think that is a little harsh. Okay, Seth McFarlane is long done with producing good shows - American Dad is still enjoyable (at times), but Family Guy got worse and worse throughout the series (and it was never that great to begin with) and The Cleveland Show? Really Seth?
However - FG isn't intended for stupid kids or for people who enjoy stupid jokes: It is a show specifically designed to cater to the needs of stoners. I myself can only watch FG while I'm under inf...

blame MS and Sony for the lack of updates...

MS: "You want to update your game? Here, take this long, tedious verification process and blow your patch through it. It'll only take weeks until we approve anything. Oh, and before we forget: Please bring some money so we can ship the updates over to the gamers. You didn't bring any money? Too bad, your patch won't see the light of the day."

This Effect happens to me after a lot of Burnout Revenge and I sit down in a car afterwards. It drives me crazy that I can't ram the other people off the road getting a "Takedown" to finally nitro through the city in riddicoulus speeds. WHERE IS MY GODDAMN NITRO BUTTON? This is what I shout at other people in the traffic jam.

Which would help you nothing without a 64bit-(sub)system... 32bit - 2GB, that is where the limit hits (or - if we want to link the LAA-handle - 3GB on a 32bit OS, 4GB on 64bit OS; that's it). And this is by the way in no way limited by the OS, but by the build. You did notice that a lot of games are still running as 32bit-applications? So does Skyrim.
In some rare cases you get different executables for 32- and 64-bit, but a lot of games aren't running in 64bit and thus cannot...

Have to agree - matchmaking-only is very off-putting, at least for me. I can't imagine how bad it has to be in other countries...
Plus: playing with friends through GFWL is so... I don't know any words for it. It is freakishly bad and a huge hassle...
GFWL has to die, hope Microsoft realizes this soon as well... (as far as I know Windows 8 won't be sporting GFWL but rather XBL - don't know if anything changes really though...)

But you have to agree that through your biggest media-outlets and a lot of other stuff (TeaParty for example) the rest of the world gets the image of you being morongs quite impregnated. But this happens to every other country as well - you aren't being judged by all of your actual citizens, but by the citizens who are the loudest. That this is not an actual representation of your country but rather by what ships over to the other countries.
Well... this is how the world roles - ...

No, they did not - cite me one source please from 5-6 years ago. Heck even 3 years ago in which they specifically state "it's done soon".

Looks incredibly stupid.
(It is probably safe to assume that this is just a Proof-of-concept-thing, but I still doubt that 1000 players fighting each other is something I want to do - seriously: That is a little overkill, isn't it? On the other hand, if the area scales for this amount of people that could be fun)

I have to disagree - it does not come down to how much "game" is in the game, but how much of this "game" doesn't work, is unfinished, is missing something which was promised, etc...

The author is not bashing on Minecraft, he is bashing on the "final release" which cannot be considered "final" in any terms. And that really is okay, because he is right.

(P.S.: Did you even read the article? The author makes compelli...

Dude... please, inform yourself a little more: The ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) is an international agreement - the EU however has to decide as a body wether the member-countries have to enact the ACTA. If the EU decides against it (there is no decision to this point) or does not decide at all, the individual countries can still sign the agreement themselves - technically there is no need for the EU to sign the agreement (although - negotations are only held with the EU, not wit...

Except that you are totally overlooking the fact that the used-games market totally changed in the last decade, just like the normal distribution. You now have huge companies like GameStop which are concentrating on the used-games market, beforehand you only had locally placed stores and thus the used-games-market always operated at a very low level (just as any other second-hand market at that time). But now? You can buy your used-games over the internet, used-games are generously advertised...
