is it enough already? COD:Black Ops spams n4g.com - it is really not that good, again I cannot understand the hype.

I think so too!
The story is pretty amazing, combined with the name-deserving combat-system it rocks BioShock in the ground.

Storywise Bioshock may be up ahead, but honestly I thought the combats in BioShock were so god damn boring.

Of course it does, and well...I never said that KZ2 isn't good looking, but comparing it to Crysis, its just behind.

5698d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well... Crysis 1 looks faaaaaaar better than KZ2.

What the hell are you talking about? The XBox (like most consoles...) uses PowerPc-CPUs.

x32-CPUs have yet to exist - you probably mean i386-i686 (probably better known as x86-CPUs)?

And when it comes to the other shit youre talking, you should REALLY do your homework:

To say it short: The cell-architecture ...

The part about half-life is so damn true... I HAD to play it through in one sitting, there was absolutely no way for me to stand up and leave the game. It was frigthening.

5702d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That isn't true anymore - every single game I knew, has a built-in updater nowadays - of course there are exceptions.

What do you mean by universal standard? Where does it apply?
I honestly don't want an universal standard that would cause a major dominance of a single distributor. Would you appreciate a universal-standard like XBOX Live which is a paid service only?
Point taken: Of course there would be only one platform left to manage your games. <...

Ever thought about sitting on the couch? Ever thought about split-screen games?

Yeah, KB/M is the perfect input...when you're sitting at the desk.

Every publisher can take advantage of the pcs architecture: It is far more open, and with the ability to install and store all your games, the patching-process for instance is a lot easier - it is easier to keep track of your game-stats, it is easier to integrate certain features, etc.
The PC brings devs a far more customizable platform.

Think about the downloads... The digital-distribution is the way to go, and it will establish itself in a very short time-frame.

What is young in your opinion?
I played a lot of classical games, but I'm just a FPS-Guy...

...with the basic stuff:
1. Half-Life (Series)
There ist just no way around that.
2. Portal
Another No-Brainer for me
3. GTA3
It is way more revolutionary then the successors
4. Splinter Cell (Series)
Yeah, that would be my opinion - most people will disagree.
5. Counter-Strike (Series)
6. Battlefield (Series)
7. Call of Duty (Series - excluding: 3 and MW2)
MW2 is a bloody punch in the face.

sucks big time... I was totally amazed by the title, I still was amazed by the idea, the character-art was pretty okay...and then the story came up. The greatest shit I ever read...

And this Teaser ist just awful, makes my head hurt.

Why is l4d an exception? l4d1 was great, awesome game - l4d2 was a little short, that is true, but still it's one solid game. And: The Quality is still top-of-the-notch, I am used to loads more of crap (take a look at Ubi, EA, and whatnot)

5726d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That! Cancelled Pre-Orders for both games as soon as I heard of this horrible DRM.

Well...and of course: 60$ for Conviction? Fuck me.

5733d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah? How do you know that?
Im pretty darn sure it still will be something about Portal, BUT not the intentional event...

5733d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Nope, BFBC2 could be called a contender, but Bioshock? Not in any world.

On the EA-Forums a lot of useres reported that they still have problems with the loading-time. For me the 10.5 solved the problem, didnt try the BETA though...

Read carefully: This is by no means a complete list.

@spektical:
Wow... you really missed every point made. I never said that the games should be priced as before.
The value is not necessarly indicated by the price...

But what the heck: Im really loosing interest in debating here...

Amazing is how you get my opinions...: I def. think that the used-games market is important, I hate Publishers pushing this market down, and I think EAs games pass is just a spit in the face.

5739d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well... obviously you never engaged in any marketing-strategies:
If you sell one game to one consumer, everything is allright. Now think of it: If I sell a game to a consumer, the probability that he is going to play this game ALL THE TIME and FOREVER, is near zero (except of those hardcore gamers, and of course hardcore games (like WoW or CS)).
So you give your product a Productlife Cycle, after which the game doesnt demand any more capacities due to the drop in play-session...
