So your answer for resolving the "pain in the ass" claim of needing to install and uninstall games, is to install a new hardrive into the system... if installing/uninstalling software is a PITA to some people, what do you think installing hardware would be like?...
If MS supports large capacity drives with its external storage support, I see it as an advantage over PS4 in this regard.
"so yea it does mean they made a more entertainment based console."
No it doesn't...
In the IGN vid where they tested the HDD space, they said they got about 20 games installed to the disk before it was full. http://www.ign.com/videos/2...
My question to is, does that seem reasonable to you? Does having only 20 games ready t...
So huge corporations like MS can lie about numbers and/or "cook the book," but companies like Sony - completely legit and 100% accurate...
This whole mindset that MS are the greedy money whores who don't care about customers, and Sony are working to cure world hunger, is comical.
MS and Sony both want your money. The difference is that Sony essentially puts up a front and pretends it doesn't, and that it's intentional are somehow noble. ...
The only case you have for the assumption for MS wanting to "screw" the console community, is if you have evidence proving that not only they knew their intentions were malicious, but that was their intent, and proceeded as planned - like a restaurant deliberately serving toxic waste to a customer, not due to cutting corners or not caring, but because they know the toxic waste is harmful.
From what I have gathered, they were definitely out of touch with the communit...
You have to buy a third part device, like a XIM3.
using a keyboard in games doesn't really do much - it's the mouse that's a game changer.
The only movement benefits a controller has over a m+kb setup, is gradual acceleration/deceleration built into the sticks. Seeing as how you already acknowledged m+kb as superior for aiming, you unintentionally said it is also better for movement. Watch a trickjumping or DeFrag movie on youtube (preferably Quake 3) - many of what is done in those vids would be increasingly difficult if it not virtually impossible with a controller.
the X1 is running 3 different OS's at once - http://www.bloomberg.com/ne...
Although the OS and other apps seems to take up more than they should on the HDD, installing 20 games to fill it isn't blasphemy by a long shot..
I will never have 20 games installed on my machine at one time. The only games I keep installed are arcade games (which is no where near 20) and frequently played retail tiles (which is like maybe 3 at a time) Going by this vid, I will never fill my HDD. I never even filled the 250gb HDD on the 360 slim. My PC has a 500gb HDD, I...
Love seeing all these supposed "gamers" telling devs to screw MS and come to Sony. Looks like they only care about games if it benefits them personally, screw anyone else.
This whole "console war" mindset is juvenile and pointless. You can't claim to be gamer, when you are participating in a system where one platform can only be successful if the other one fails. You should be hoping all platforms are successful, since gamers are playing on more than o...

Taken from the article:
"Despite the listing stating it was a photo of an Xbox One Day One edition console, Mr Clatworthy said he expected to receive the console as it was listed in the video games and consoles category on eBay."
In light of this, it was generous of CeX to give him a console for free, (actually, it was a present for the man's son) but in actuality, the kid should've gotten this - 4451d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment
Thief isn't a new IP - the franchise has been around since 1998, and has many loyal fans. I'm assuming you didn't play the original games (were you even old enough?) but Thief 2 is one of my favorite games, and even for being dated, it features some of the best stealth mechanics ever in a game.
It provided your character with tools for the jobs, but didn't really rely on hokey gimmicks like leveling up your characters "sneak ability," or unlocking p...
I'd say the big reason (likely the biggest) many people in the gaming community sided with PS4, was due to the initial reveal of the Xbox One. many people were mad as hell, confused, frustrated, butthurt, etc. and sided with Sony as a result. It had little to do with hardware specs or first party studios, and more to do with distancing themselves from MS.
If that whole fiasco never happened, we would likely be looking at a completely different scenario unfolding.
It isn't PS fans vs xbox fans, it is the vocal minority, which are on both fronts. Within any community, more often than not, this saying rings true:
"Those who speak the loudest often have nothing to say..."

1: The "more powerful system" argument only applies to those who have been following news on the new consoles and are actually aware of their details, which as like as you'd like to think, is not the majority of consumers. Furthermore, even when this is known, other factors can supersede this fact, like personal preferences such as controller, games, services, etc. Which is why despite this information, people are still buying other systems.
In addition, if PS4 ...
It seems to be a mix of rushed/incomplete features of the X1, mixed with users being unfamiliar with new tech. The Xbox One is not Xbox 360 2.0 - it is it's own system, with it's own way of doing things. Many xbox players, myself included, were probably a bit confused initially when trying to navigate the UI, but this is expected. I'm sure similar scenarios presented itself when people migrated to Win 7 from XP.
Although there are genuine concerns, I'm sure th...
Watchdogs looks promising, but it looks like a rent not a buy from me. Oddly enough, for someone not really into car games, (or cars in general) The Crew is my most anticipated game from this list.
Those DLC's were being worked on before BF4 even released... your conspiracy theory scenario is amusing though.
It should be "yearly" cost.
