From a "value-centric perspective," what would you rather have:
access to newer or perhaps more popular titles you can play as much as you want, as long as you maintain a payed subscription.

You are upset that they give you one free character and charge a fee of $20 for all the rest, a price that is around what an XBLA title costs.

They needed more to get you? What, like the entire game for free, or enough free content to negate players from ever wanting to buy anything? You are focusing ...
Isn't this sort of thing already being done in Ryse and Killzaone and Quantum Break? Hell, even the Crysis games boasted "highly realistic faces." I'm not trying to to take away from ND, but these faces are gonna need to be pretty damn highly realistic to impress, so I guess time will tell.
But they are ND, so they could essentially make a game focused around collecting farts from butt goblins, and the Playstation community would praise them...
RYSE isn't GOTY material, but to classify it in a worst of 2013 list, seems a bit extreme... I'd say it's biggest flaw is repetitiveness. From a graphics side it's phenomenal, and from a technical side, (glitches, controls, etc.) it's also well done. I'm really not seeing how it qualifies as a "worst of 2013" game, unless you are simply putting all parameters used to judge these things aside, and using nothing but opinion to cast your vote.
Wouldn't it be more accurate to say EA rushed it? If DICE had full control, I'm sure they'd take as long as they needed, as is the case with most independent developers.
lol, I love how the price of a gaming rig increases with every post. $1500, $3000.... obviously you guys know nothing about building a rig, yet the PC gamers in here do know about console gaming and the hidden fees attached to it. And every 2 years? Really?! ...I just built my new rig last year. The one I had before that was 6 years old, and it could still play a lot of the games I played, just not at the level I wanted.

Yeah. using the Kinect just with the Xbox itself, really is a good experience. If they just improved/added to that aspect alone throughout the life-cycle of the console, and never even added support for games, I will still have gotten my money out of it.

And you can't play all those free PS+ games you get, without a subscription, yet the games xbox players get with GWG, are theirs to keep.

But how does this effect those who already own PS4? Like, what's the point of mentioning it? Does the PS4 have this weird dependency mechanism with other systems, where sales effect the enjoyment players derive from the console? Or maybe it's something to do with the hardware/software, where upon discovering that PS4 did not sell out, an algorithm is transmitted, halving the effectiveness of the CPU and GPU, while also affecting how fun the games are...
