"Microsoft posted a workaround found by one of the beta testers..."

- this is one of the reasons why participating in betas can be a good thing.

What games is this guy playing that he constantly runs into all these cretins online? I've been a Gold member for like 7 yrs., and have only run into a handful of douchebags at the level he's describing. Either this guy's a shit magnet, he's provoking people, or he's overreacting.

However, the reputation system does need to be addressed, and and made operable.

To be fair though, I:SS is a PS4 exclusive, while Titanfall is not an X1 exclusive.

And seeing how the community essentially killed it before anyone had a chance to experience it, nobody will ever know if it truly would have resulted in the "doom and gloom" everyone assumes it would have been, or if it would have evolved into something people actually enjoyed. I for one was interested in what MS had in store, and I know I'm not alone.

"Well u guys keep saying the XB1 is $100 more as an excuse."

- The difference between the "PS4 sold out excuse," and the "X1 is $100 more expensive excuse," is that the X1 is factually more expensive than the PS4, regardless where you shop, whereas the PS4 being sold out is not an absolute - some places have it, some places don't, but at all the those places, the X1 is still more expensive.

And ...

"That's the trouble with an online-only game. Servers go down, sh*t happens. "

- No, that's the trouble with online connectivity in general - like when Sony's servers got hacked...

Don't try to pin it on the game being online-only. Even with a SP campaign, those wanting to play MP, which would still remain the bread and butter of the game even with a SP component, would still be without a game, and let'...

Please... controller preference is one the biggest reasons console gamers choose console over PC, because they don't like using the m/kb...try harder next time.

@ger2396

Yes, I am aware of that, but it doesn't matter anyway, because there is still the second issue I pointed out... Mind you , these are only my 2 main reasons - there are other reasons like the UI, the online service, the features/social aspects, etc.

then don't buy it...

One reasons I will never own a Playstation is because I despise their controllers, and those aren't even optional. The other reason is all my gaming friends play xbox, so until Sony lets me use XBL over their system, I have no use for it.

The difference between spending extra money on a bundled kinect vs spending money on the VR bundle, is that buying the kinect is unavoidable if you want an X1, thus you have to spend that extra cash and get the kinect, to get the console. Many have done just that, and accepted it - they wanted the console, so they had to get the kinect.

If you are buying the VR unit, you aren't doing it out of some "ends justify the means" mindset, to get your hands on the PS4 -...

lol, It's Blizzard. All the time and resources they spent developing their project Titan MMO, was scrapped and restarted. It's what they do, and they can do it, because they have the money, the reputation, ad regardless if you like their games or not, they are always of high quality, and personally, I think they produce the absolute best looking CGI cutscenes, even better than Hollywood.

The problem with people like you (which are many in these comments) is that you assume that because MS or a dev studio doesn't utilize the cloud 100%, and showcase everything MS ever stated it could do, that it must be pipedreams, lies and PR spin... Games on X1 have been using Azure, whether it be DR3, Forza 5, Titanfall, or Ryse, but apparently because those games aren't using the cloud enough or in specific ways, then the the entire concept it BS and MS are liars...

"Who cares? Literally every Xbox fanboy on the Internet putting their hopes and dreams into DirectX12, and whatever else MS tries to tell them will place their games above the competition."

- I would argue that at least to a degree, that some of those "xbox fanboys" really could care less about DX12 in terms of looking forward to better looking/performing games on X1,and instead are just hopeful that it might finally shut up the gloating PS4 fanboys. Many ...

oh my god, can we get off the AI in Titanfall? It has been addressed adnauseam, by the community, gaming sites, and even the devs themselves, that the AI was never intended to act as worthy opponents. Their purpose is comparable to creeps in MOBA's, thus the "bad ai" is working as intended. They aren't supposed to function as bots, which is why they never fill up team slots.

Bringing up the ai does absolutely nothing in terms of showing how "laughable&q...

They have actually spoken on the variety of mechs, and said that it's difficult to add variants, seeing that they need to be tested, balanced, and viable choices. After you have the 3 basic models - speed, balance, durability, now you start getting into sub-categories and specializations, and that can be tricky, especially considering they need to fit in with the arcadey, fast paced gameplay of the game, along with the size of the maps, and balanced against the other mechs already in the ...

lol, what are you talking about? Devs can sign up to use their Unlimited Detail SDK. It is largely used in geospacial software at the moment, and is also used in the medical/science fields, but it definitely exists and has been seen and used. I think they even got a government grant for $2 million. What they are currently working on, is getting this technology usable for the games industry.

Here's a video interview featuring a real-time demo of the engine. The guy even us...

But variety isn't some "golden rule" to greatness. Like I said, BF stared out with only Conquest mode. Splash Damage has been making only team-based objective shooters for years. TF2 launched with only 3 game modes and 6 maps, and classics like Quake and UT, started with only the "holy trinity" - DM, TDM and CTF.

When games are done right right, variety isn't needed, it's just an added bonus, this goes both for game modes and maps. I think devs...
