To those of you saying we need to wait for more reviews, even with the reviews out there, Uncharted 2 is still 4 points above Halo 3, it's closest exclusive competitor, on metacritic. It'll take a good bit of very negative reviews to pull that score down 4 points from where it is now, and with most of the reputable gaming sites already having posted their reviews, I just don't see that happening.
most of the reputable gaming sites have already posted their reviews. I hardly consider Edge to be reputable, but I'll update the article when they post their review anyway.
Enough have come in to be able to make that judgment vs. the games it is compared against. even without all the reviews, it still has scored higher.
And no, the embargo did not lift today. It lifted long ago, when the reviews first started coming in. The only thing that changed was the multiplayer demo's embargo was lifted to make it public.
Read the article again. It's saying GTA 1, 2, 3, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, and Vice City stories, as well as the DLC from GTA4 360 in disc form.
You people just don't get it. This is not going to effect Go at all, as those who would be interested in a 4000 are not the ones Sony is going after with the Go.
Go was made for the iphone/zune portable gamer, who likes small, cheap games on a device they can store their media on as well. these people do not care to have to carry around a case for their psp and it's games. they just want to be able to stick it in their pocket and have all their games right there in the system. Th...
...and you know this how?
Remastered, no. We're not saying they'll add new textures and such, but instead will just code anti aliasing and higher resolution textures (like the ones from the PC versions) into the game. doesn't take much time at all to do that when you have to write an emulator to run the game anyway.
An all purpose emulator is impossible. PS2's architecture is far too different to emulate on ps3 via software only. a separate emulator would have to be written for each game (and that's how they plan on doing the psn ps2 games, simply rewriting them to run on ps3).
And it won't just be gta 3-SA. i know our source also mentioned liberty and vice city stories also.
San Andreas is on XBL, but PSN gets it and the rest as well, including liberty and vice city stories.
um... did you read the article? lol.
try reading the article, then you'll realize your rant is for nothing.
One 50GB Blu-Ray probably could hold the entire series.
outdated? last time I checked, the Cell outperformed Xenos at about everything, even outperforming the new Intel I7's at things like video encoding, and happens to be a newer architecture. So, before you try to spit lies, check the stats.
And I wouldn't go on making fun of resolution, when Xbox's flagship title, halo, still to this day (2 games later) has never once been able to run in HD without upscaling, and there has yet to be a 360 game that looks anywhere near as good as ki...
they do need to step it up a notch with the series. gta4 was a step forward in many ways, and a step backwards in others. that was the thing that disappointed me the most.
Exclusive GTA and cross game chat... Microsoft would be about out of luck if those things are true.
Well... that was the only thing making me think it could possibly ever go exclusive. it's like... too big. for dvd. we'll see though.
No idea. I'm stumped on this one myself. I do know this source has almost always been right (and the 2 times they were wrong they told us beforehand that the plans had not yet been finalized so it could change), so i'm inclined to believe it, but GTA just seems like one hell of a stretch.
it was 8 million 4 weeks before slim launched. 360 actually gained a bit of ground on ps3 in those 4 weeks, however, because of ps3 shortages as the retail channel dried up in anticipation of ps3 slim. as of right now, it is about 7.55 million units apart from 360, and if my estimates are right it will be at about 7.3 million units by the end of the month.
No, but to see that they're buying PS3, while abandoning 360 (it's sales are declining) is interesting none the less. Wii's sales are down the most out of all 3 though.
