That couldn't be farther from the truth. My firefox browser rarely ever goes over 256mb's of ram used, and that's with several tabs open at once. PS3 is sure to limit you to 3-4 tabs at once like it currently does to prevent too much RAM from being used.
The internet doesn't require much memory, the average web page doesn't exceed a few MB's in size.
I currently have like 8 tabs open, and I'm at 280 mb's of ram used.
I can't bring myself to watch it....

censorship is a cancer.
Uncut is uncut, meaning no content (including the ability to kill civilians) has been removed. They lied.
As for the person saying we write for n4g, we've been around much longer than this site has. We might make an edit to our stories, but it has nothing to do with n4g, but the fact that if there is something misleading in our articles (like a headline that isn't as descriptive as it should be), we'd like to make those changes when we find out about them so our readers have the ...
There's also a lot of pressure that polyphony is putting on turn 10. with the rumors of a track editor adding the play/create/share element to GT5, as well as almost 3 times as many cars as forza 3 offers, and each one being fully customizable, turn 10 has a lot to live up to next time around.
Definitely not perfect, but a solid racing game none the less.
It's called an exaggeration... this isn't a news article, it's an opinion piece. Everyone knows there are no concrete numbers on exactly how often a ps3 crashes, so it's rather obvious that it is a figure of speech. c'mon people.
Ever used it for facebook? How about this, try to look up a song by an artist on myspace... tell me how far you get. I wasn't even able to reply to anyone in yahoo mail because clicking on the reply buttons did absolutely nothing. It's full of bugs.
I get a good laugh from you people. Sony's web browser is notorious for sucking, whether you have had problems yourself or not. their firmware is recalled almost every time (how many x.0x updates have we had now?)because X game crashes now because of it or whatever other glitch happens... the software is not anywhere near as it should be. should be as in working properly. and I have had smoother web browsing experiences on PC's with 256mb's of ram, and the cpu damn sure isn't lacking in ps3, ...
Thanks for the heads up on that. Some around here can be far too sensitive when it comes to criticizing Sony. Though they are the best console manufacturer, they are far from perfect. And just because they are the best doesn't mean we shouldn't call them out when they screw up. We need to get on to them so the best can constantly be under pressure to be better... otherwise it'll only be a matter of time before "the best" belongs to someone else who actually did bother to do the thin...
First of all, I'm probably older than you. Second, I have one of the fastest net connections you can get (30mbps), third, every try using facebook with that free browser? And just because something is free, doesn't give it an excuse to suck. I'm not complaining because I hate sony and don't like the fact that they are the only console manufacturer to make a mostly full featured web browser that runs in HD, I'm complaining because Sony has a real opportunity to hold a huge advantage over the o...
Ever heard of an editorial? Those things that gaming news publications post from time to time to express views on the gaming industry? You know, those things that you find on the inside cover of your favorite gaming mag? I suppose not. N4G is a place where news, rumors, articles (aka editorials), pics, and videos can be posted. If you still haven't figured that out yet, look closer next time. Over half the articles on N4G are editorials.
And we're far from a "blog". Blo...
I can't wait to see how well the 250gb white ff13 ps3 bundle sells over there. I almost want to import one just for the awesome case.
I have to admit, even as a PS3-centric gamer, I would have never in a million years seen this happening. Not on their home turf.
And as the article says, facebook is just as broken on Xbox 360 because you can't click on ANY of the links posted, or watch the youtube videos.
Twitter works just fine on PS3.. unlike 360 which is also plagued by the lack of the ability to actually click on anything.
And if you guys are going to take offense over me calling them out over a false statement... that's a bit much. Until I see a 360 playing a blu-ray movie, i just can't buy a statement like that because ...
Teenagers will have a harder time affording monthly subscriptions to play online, because the younger ones will not have jobs and even some of the older ones will have a hard time convincing their parents to let them take on a monthly bill just so they can play videogames, which some of the stricter parents will frown on to begin with.
Back in the days when PS3 first launched, this was not a disadvantage because they damn sure weren't about to convince their parents to buy them ...
I find it funny how many people still claim "facebook. twitter" as a 360 exclusive thing. I've been using both on my PS3 for some time (though facebook could use some work with PS3's browser, twitter works fine for me).
as you should with ANY rumor, no matter how reliable the source.
