that's what all 3dtv's use. the problem is, if you are not sending out 120fps, which 90% of our tv's cannot, you only get 30fps per eye. this leaves a visible flicker that can cause headaches and eye strain.
motionflow 120hz and up tv's, even if not 3d, would help with that however.
no, it is taking your video image, chroma keying out the background (without the chroma... amazing stuff!) and then allows you to punch, kick, and duck as you wish. super moves are triggered with gestures, however. but, this is no in game avatar, it's your actual video image.
3dtv's are not more expensive than hdtv was when it was new. you can get a 3dtv for about $1500-2500, hdtv's when new were $2500 and up.

Again, controller smoothing is what is inducing the lag. the guy on the video clearly says it's on easy mode, where they smooth out your input to prevent you from screwing up as much, which surely adds processing time. take it off easy mode, and i'm sure the lag would be gone just like we've seen in the tech demos that featured no lag at all.

actually, table tennis wouldn't have lag had it not been set on the "Easy mode" like the dev said, which takes additional time to smooth out the input the game receives (essentially hyper advanced gesture control, not true 1:1). if you were to remove that, I'm willing to bet the minor amount of lag visible in the video would go with it.
The source cited in the article also did mention they might not go with the name Xbox 360+ due to it being so close to motion +. My guess is that the wavy green lines in the new header are a reference to the new name of Natal, "wave", or "MicroWave" (lol) or whatever.

um... lag free? not at all. there is definite lag, especially when more than one person is in front of it. you can see it towards the end of the video clearly, in addition to the avatars glitching the entire time.
and not included with 360 elites anymore.
Something tells me these people didn't quite get the "motion controlled" concept. the way they are constantly moving and shaking as if dancing... it looks like they think in order to play the game at all you must be in motion. lol. they were trying to get the kid to keep moving the entire time also, rather than actually play the game. this is going to wind up in many a parody.

$300 glasses? try $70. And just because those best buy glasses are bulky and uncomfortable, doesn't mean they all are. there are many different brands to choose from. i checked it out yesterday. no flicker, though i didn't care for how it darkened the image, resulting in less pure whites. the 3d effect was still very good, even adjusting it's viewpoint as i moved across the room, actually panning the scene (an effect i had no idea would happen).

well, first of all, move is a hell of a lot more accurate than your wii. second, it can actually play it's games in HD, and 3D as well. third, it also has a camera for facial and voice recognition, as well as full body controller-less motion tracking (see kung fu live!), and it has the capability to re-calibrate itself up to 120 times per second, unlike wii (even motion plus) which can only be calibrated at the beginning of a level, and who's accuracy slowly drifts off of the original...
if Sony hires 180 currently employed workers, that's 180 jobs that just became available for the unemployed. 180 people quitting their current jobs. can't hate on them for only wanting quality workers, and those who kept their jobs in this day and age are definitely quality workers.
um... pre alpha? 4 months prior to release, most games are near the point of going gold. this is the point where they should be fine tuning every aspect of an already near perfect system. we just don't seem to be anywhere near that point yet, and them not allowing us to film a year old ball demo still to this day does nothing to boost confidence. nor does this guy and many others still saying it lags, and lags even worse with more than one person on screen.

you'll never remove the need for 3d glasses fully and get quality as good as glasses can give you without going all out hologram style 3d, which is a ways off. even the autostereoscopic displays have severe banding issues and can only display in 3d with you sitting dead center to the TV (much like this... a viewing angle that can only accomodate 4 people in 2d SUCKS no matter how you slice it!). if we're talking flat displays, glasses are as good as it gets. at least for the next 5-10...
