so, if your dog knocks over your 360 when you're playing it, say goodbye to your game.

MS is being quiet about 3d because 360 CAN'T do it. not real stereoscopic HD 3D anyway. the best you'll get is what was featured in Avatar... 15fps garbage that looks like a ps2 game. hdmi 1.2 does not have the bandwidth to support any more than that, and 360's 13mb frame buffer cannot fit a 720p 3d frame into it, unlike ps3's (up to) 256mb frame buffer (PS3 uses it's VRAM as the frame buffer, 360 uses it's 13mb of EDRAM).

if they did that, people would be selling the wristbands on ebay. they're strict about it, but understandably.

1:1 means if you move, it moves in tandem with you tracking your every motion. move does just that. motion plus does also. the alternative is gesture based control, where the game takes your motion and uses it to trigger a pre-canned animation, which is what you see with a lot of non motion + wii games.

what you guys are failing to recognize is, first of all hdmi 1.2 is locked at 60fps, so no 120fps 3d. it also cannot even do 720p in 3d, not enough bandwidth. ALSO, hdmi 1.4 tv's will not accept ANY 3d signal unless it's a hdmi 1.4 or 1.3 compatible device connected to them. that's what you call an industry standard, one that was finalized after the 360 launched. ps3 was able to have it's hdmi 1.3 port upgraded because both use the same amount of bandwidth, which is double tha...

the real question is, since hdmi 1.4 is REQUIRED (it's the industry standard) for 3d, which tv's will be able to play this?

psmove is 1:1 also, as is motion +. the only difference, you won't have 150-300ms of lag on those.

looking pretty good. the graphics aren't exactly top notch, but the gameplay looks very solid. i like the space battle at the end.

the only thing they have to be excited for as of now are pre-rendered faked "demos" (see image i posted above), gorillas with flowers growing out of them, glowing ponchos, and big robo-elephants.

as you can see, substandard 3d effects (that do nothing but leave you with a headache) are required for 3d on the xbox 360. you'll never get 120fps HD in 3D on the 360 like you see in ps3 games like super stardust hd 3d. even for games that do not use 120fps, the tv is able to interpolate t...

that glasses free tech is not only expensive, but won't be on the market until the next xbox is out. also, it's VERY limited. only 4 people can watch 2D tv at the same time with it, and only 2 people in 3D. and people complained about having to buy glasses for their family members! not to mention the 3D effect isn't as good and can only be seen when you're sitting dead center in front of the TV at a certain distance, unlike glasses that let you sit wherever you want in the roo...

the only way 360 is going to do 3d is if the new slim has hdmi 1.4, which leaves all current 360 owners out. hdmi 1.2 lacks the bandwidth for 3d.

^that's what i'm thinking. the new 360 has hdmi 1.4

I can't help but laugh at the fact that this article is lashing out at Spike for making gamers out to be stupid, when they couldn't spell the phrase "couldn't care less" properly...

let me clarify... it needs to bring it to compete with an ever evolving market that is steadily offering customization more and more as a standard. not necessarily just forza, but racing games in general.

Let's hope so... they need to bring it if they want to compete.
