it is too much, but there is one fact that remains. they'll still hold the bundle price advantage unless sony cuts ps3's price. an arcade bundled with that full price is still $320, whereas Sony wants $400 for a move bundled PS3. IF they plan on breaking into the homes of the casuals, it's gonna need to come down more than that.

Put your money where your mouth is Microsoft... where are the 3D games? Let's think about 3D on the 360 for a bit...

The Xbox 360 can't even hold one 1080p frame in it's 10MB frame buffer (tiling can allow native 1080p, but very limited which is why there are only a couple native 1080p 360 games, and they're pretty simple games). So even 3D at 720p is impossible on 360 without even taking into account the fact that HDMI 1.2 has half the bandwidth needed to out...

They want to keep it in the labs a bit longer so they can get it right and then be accused of copying nintendo again.

it really isn't THAT expensive... http://www.bestbuy.com/site...

what does resolution in 3d have to do with health? it's refresh rates that could cause issues, and ps3 is the only console on the market that supports up to 120fps 3d in any resolution up to 720p. and if nintendo had no competition, they would start to suck. competition keeps them on their toes and innovating.

we've yet to see kinect even handle 4 people at the same time. maybe with voice recognition only, but i don't see 4 people fitting in it's field of view in a normal living room environment.

yes it will, but you do gotta admit that some of the bible's stories would make a good game. look at revelations...

oh yeah, because the infallible Sony cannot possibly make a mistake, and when they do, if we complain about it we're just whiny babies that should be more grateful that they are asking the same price as live but not giving the same features? yes, free online play is great, but if i'm going to pay to upgrade i expect to see the industry standard for online console gaming met, and live is what set that standard.

ESPN? and no, it wasn't announced. they recently denied it is coming with the ps+ firmware update.

oh yeah, because calling a company out on failed promises is such an immature fanboy thing to do. so typically n4g, huh?

I think the XMB works fine, though when you are online it could be reshuffled a bit so that the features you won't be using are put off to the side while friends list, etc. get priority. As for innovating with PSN, they do have the folding @ home, playstation life, game sharing, etc., so they do innovate just a bit here and there, but it's nothing like what MS has brought to the console realm. And this is coming from an AVID PlayStation fan.

yeah, just horrible frame rates unless you plop down enough money on a video card, CPU, and RAM to buy you 3 PS3's.

the problem isn't the refresh rate, but the non 3d tv's do not have hdmi1.4, so there isn't enough bandwidth to send HD 3d images through. they can't receive a 120fps image, they take a 60fps image and upscale from there.

LCD shutter glasses and flat screen TV's displaying at 120hz are FAR from 80's tech. If you're talking about 3D in general, we've been doing that since the 40's with red-blue glasses. But then again we've been seeing in 3D for millions of years. It's all apples to oranges. The methods we're using to produce 3D effects these days are FAR superior to those used in the 80's.

Also, with 3D movies, you're limited to pretty much throwing obje...

they don't cost that much man... i've seen sets between $1500-2500.

Good to know that even those with glasses will get to experience 3D gaming on the PS3 as well.

let damage control commence! "i'm not contradicting the fact that they say it's not working while sitting, but it works while you're sitting. calm down."

um... e3 starts tomorrow buddy. the union your're in may have torn down the set for one of the press conferences... but there is no "set" for e3. it's a series of "sets" from different companies actually.

if they didn't do it this way, people would buy a 3 month pass and load up with free content, then quit. they'd lose money.
