Oh? With sticker damage and paintable cars made up of less than half of the polygons found in the cars in GT5? And with fewer cars that are not as detailed, and tracks that are made intentionally wider than the real thing to make online races easier?
I bet it'll even be in 1080p and 720p at 60-120fps 3D! Oh wait, 360 isn't capable of either in a game as complex as forza or GT5.
Here's $300. Go build me a PC that will run that game as smoothly as Uncharted will run on PS3 (in 3D also, keep in mind). Besides, aside from great looking environments, Crysis doesn't have much going for it at all. Boring gameplay, bland character models/art direction... typical crytek game (and the xbox fans are drooling over their exclusive... don't get your hopes too high folks. Crytek hasn't delivered one single AAA experience.)
Save for the most realistic human hair ever rendered in a videogame, flawless shadows and improved overall shading effects, VASTLY improved water effects (that was incredible), larger set pieces, and even more detail... And the fact that it runs in 3D without downscaling it to SD in the process, F'ing incredible.
That might not have been what they were going after, they wanted to show drake was stranded, far away from civilization, and pyramids or any of that wouldn't have given that impression.
I bet they made it as a reference to this:

Read the article then think about what you just said...
"the remote sold out across the country nearly three weeks ago"
why spend money on ads when you're having trouble meeting demand as it is?
you're looking at it from the wrong angle. Let's assume this little device sits under the ps3 and plugs into it's usb ports (both of them, and it would have it's own you'd plug your stuff into). the only thing it uses the ps3 for us input for the bd drive, hdd, wifi, and bluetooth. the unit itself comes bundled with it's own GPU, CPU, and RAM. it has it's own HDMI output on the back. the only data going through the usb ports is that which is going to or from the bd...
or better anti aliasing, sharper textures, no jaggy shadows, higher res shader effects, 60fps per eye 3D... i'd pay good $ to have all my ps3 games do that.
Well, if the new box had it's own CPU, GPU, and RAM in it, the usb would only be needed to transfer data from the HDD and BD drive into the new box, so a USB compatible upgrade could in theory work. It would need it's own HDMI output on it though, so it didn't have to send the signal back to the RSX. In fact, it could plug into both USB ports and use each's bandwidth, then have it's own USB ports mounted on the front so you could still plug in your accessories.

I love that pic. see what those circles are doing? spinnnning! just like he is! always bragging about US sales only while ignoring the rest of the world, where the statements he makes are nowhere near true.
I can see the day ps3 passes up 360 in total worldwide sales...
"Aaron Greenburg: "NPD results prove 360 maintains a strong lead over PS3."
yeah, it's just his job to spin numbers and make bogus claims.
U.S. market boasted about like the rest of the world doesn't exist in 3...2...1...
I can't be disappointed in this game anymore, i've already seen it do enough to blow me away.
I imagine with time they'll improve on the methods used to create the level, and hopefully MM will also likely see this and update LBP to be more friendly to the "cheat" they're using to making the graphics so it produces smoother results.
they should have unlocked the level 40 damage then tried it out... though that system was a mistake to put in the unlockable damage to begin with.
indeed, quite cool.
GT5's car model looks far better, shading effects are better (though gt5's shadows can suck, the overall shading is still way better, which is why it's able to pull of that realistic effect vs. forza's more CG look), the interiors are hands down better, no question about that, and it does all of this with twice as many cars and at twice the resolution.
while you're at it, why don't you just build the whole level and then give your friends some guns with REAL bullets, it will never get more immersive!
sofa works fine. though you don't really need 3d capability to do that, you just need a video image. one minute the camera sees you are there, when you duck down it sees you are gone (and tracks you as you duck down) and knows to make your character do the same. a few ps move games already do this. some use the came...
here you go...

Maybe it will sell as well as GT5 prologue did this time.
