annual is the root word of anniversary, so putting it in there twice is kinda redundant.
Wouldn't be the first time. Halo3 and GTA4 both leaked before release.
You don't have to know them, just watch or read a few interviews and you'll quickly see how full of themselves they can be.
"EXCLUSIVE! DEV SAYS THEIR GAME IS SUPER AWESOME AND YOU SHOULD BUY IT!"
No joke! Now the gameplay looks better than the CG from the original game did!
It is important to differentiate between "hacked" and "phished", and sadly few sites bother to do that sort of thing. Rather unprofessional really, as it falsely implies that the security threat was on the side of Microsoft, and not just a user being duped into giving up their info. I'm no fan of XBL, but let's be realistic here people. If you're going to be a journalist, you must remain professional about it.
5 Reasons Gaming Journalism is Dead:
1. It has been reduced to regurgitated 5 reason opinion articles.
2. For every 5 reason opinion article, there must be a counter article.
3. These articles instantly explode in popularity because fanboys are not capable of ignoring a stab at their system of choice, even if they know it is coming from some no-name gaming website that never has and never will have a chance at becoming anything more than a fa...
I'm not sure which is worse, the post accusing shiggy of not putting anything good out lately or the fanboys foaming at the mouth over it. Some of the criticism is deserved, as shiggy is not only the king of sequels, but also king of genre whoring. I think a porn game is about the only genre Mario has not appeared in. That aside, Miyamoto is responsible for a good chunk of the good memories I have from childhood, and while I don't play his games anymore, I still appreciate him for tha...
What will happen when he dies? A little jingle will play and we'll be returned to the start screen.
According to this business insider article, MS lost 4B, and has only made back 1B. Gnothe, you act like MS has not expenses in their business model, which is impossible. They have paid billions of dollars in advertising (one billion on kinect alone), server upkeep for XBL, and all the other operating costs they have. Profit is what counts, not total income.
The PS3 lost $4.7 billion, Xbox lost 4.2 billion (had to double check on that), as of it's first 4 years in existenc...
Microsoft lost almost $6 billion on the first Xbox (and even though the 360 has turned a profit on it's own costs, they still have not made that $6b back). They're still here, and look to continue strong into the next generation. Sony hasn't lost that much on PS3, so the doom and gloom needs to quit. They're nowhere near "in trouble". Not doing well, yes, but not about to go belly up. The only obstacle Sony faces going into next gen is putting together a machine that...
Yeah, ultimately the investors that pour the tens of millions into those movie budgets want guaranteed returns, and no name faces don't do much for generating hype for a movie, so it's a risk few investors are willing to take. I too don't feel that an uncharted movie would be as good without them, as they're damn fine actors and play their part perfectly, but i'll take what i can get.
This site needs to evolve to survive. They wouldn't know a good fighting game if it slapped them in the face.
There are a lot of things, like the real time next gen final fantasy tech demo, that already look as good as that crysis video, if not better.
Nothing wrong with a person expressing the fact that one console has them more excited than another. No need to bitch and moan about it.
"As time goes on, exclusives are becoming less and less of a way for a platform to define itself and more of a reason for fanboys to cry a river via a million n4g articles, hateful Facebook posts, and petitions.
It does appear that way. There is a very subtle resolution difference between the two. Not sure if it's texture resolution or the native resolution the games are rendering at, but you can definitely notice the 360 shots are a bit softer.
That said, I don't see folks breaking out their magnifying glasses to count pixels while mashing 100 buttons per minute at 60fps. The simple fact is, the game rocks.
People said the 0GB 360's were a waste of time, but they still sold a lot of them. This makes a good starter kit to get someone going with a couple games and a couple more disc based games that do not require much HDD space, until they can get ahold of (any off the shelf SATA) a hard drive to add to their storage space. I bet the upgrade would be seamless since this is data stored on flash memory, it could exist alongside the HDD without the need for copying data from one drive to the nex...
To be expected considering this console is coming in on the heels of an almost 7 year old generation, offering only marginal improvements at best and therefore not able to be classified as a generation above the current lineup (from a development perspective). Being that the majority of what wii U is getting are current gen ports running on current gen engines, it isn't fair to compare it to the 360 and PS3 launches that were next gen titles running on next gen engines. Of course the line...
Sounds like quite the battery killer.
