A lot of what makes GTA good to me are it's social parodies and relation to real world locations. Removing that by transporting the series into the future would ruin all that for me. You could still do it some, but there would be a time disconnect.
Easy... just look at how the last several product unveilings went for Sony. PS3 slim, Vita, etc. all were leaked prior to the official showing.
Jimbo, the info has been validated through multiple sources and so far checks out. There are genuine leaks in the video game world sometimes, you know.
These comments to my post only make my original post that much funnier.
This article is pathetic. Quit trying to justify the purchase of your toy and just play the damn thing.
MS hasn't turned a profit on the Xbox brand yet. It lost 4 billion on the original Xbox. It managed to make the Xbox 360 itself (ignoring the 4 billion loss on the original Xbox) if I remember correctly, but they never were able to actually make the division profitable when all the losses from both generations are factored in. I know they took a huge hit on RROD as well. That said, Sony is in just as bad of a position when it comes to losses suffered, so I don't see MS selling off to ...
This is about as pointless as saying:
THIS JUST IN!!! Wii Fit declared best selling game ever (among 40+ yr. old married females with brown hair and at least one dog)...
I've been a diehard PS3 supporter from the start, but I won't deny that connecting with friends is definitely easier on XBL. SEN has some cool features, but even as someone who believes that Sony's offering is better all around, I can't just say that SEN is hands down better in every way than XBL. It just wouldn't be true. It can be a real pain to get a group of people together for a gaming session, especially one that spans several different games. Having to text chat hal...
Nothing in that Illumiroom video shows 360 degrees of projection. It only shows the area in front of the player being video mapped.
OK, for the first time, Microsoft, you've shown me a way to use kinect that I like. I do professional video projection mapping for a living, so to see it and video gaming seamlessly integrate like this is actually really cool. As others have said, however, I'll reserve judgment until I can see this thing in use. I also would like to see more innovative uses other than a limited "wider screen". My second concern would be cost vs. brightness. A good bright projector doesn'...
PS4 hasn't even been announced yet and the FUD articles are already starting. Gamestop's stock was already in decline prior to this patent.
"Why I kick at dead horses that have been beaten to death years ago and use flamebait headlines to start fanboy wars in the comments section so I can get more hits on my website."
@tommy
"“A bunch of people sitting around the living room wearing $150 glasses — I’m just not sure that’s kind of mainstream today,” he said. “Trying to get a bunch of people playing together in a room where not everybody sees the same thing … is kind of a weird disconnect to me."
They then went on to sign a deal with LG to make 3D on Xbox possible on LG TVs. And you're wrong about them not releasing any 3D games, Halo: Combat Evolved supports s...
You do know Sony has had a patent for a ball shaped controller for years, right? I don't see us controlling Ps3 with a ball. Patents are filed any time anyone in a company like Sony's R&D dept. comes up with an idea that the company sees fit to protect from other companies being able to use it. Very few of these patents ever see the light of day. Sony has been patenting depth sensing cameras for years also, our site reported on a similar patent last year actually.

How well each system sold in a particular location has no effect on the fact that neither 360 nor PS3 had a simultaneous worldwide (3 major territories) release, which destroys the ability to directly compare with wii u. The point still stands. Europe never saw PS3 for months, never saw 360 for weeks.
As it stands, Wii U is being outsold by 7 year old consoles by a pretty good margin... it's selling less than it's predecessor did, and it's REAL competition (next x...
Completely ignoring the fact that the PS3 was not only plagued by shortages at it's launch but also didn't launch worldwide on the same date... Europe didn't get PS3 until 2007... The same with Xbox 360, it didn't get to europe until the following month, rendering any direct comparison useless.
Wii U has also been selling quite poorly in Europe.
Yeah, had to be the games. Had to be the guns. He couldn't have just been a crazy piece of shit, it had to be something else.
The beauty is, as I pointed out in the article, steambox can be easily upgraded and you will still be able to play all of your old games, since PC games are built to be scalable. You get the best backwards compatibility you could ever ask for. So, releasing a new console every 2 years won't confuse the customer, all the software still works.
@ DigitalAnalog (Post #1, I accidentally made a new post rather than replying to yours.) You do make a very good point. The points outlined in the article are still just as valid without that info, however. Even without taking the platform agnostic approach into account, the Steam Box still has what it takes to beat the big 3 consoles at their own game. We all know this is a Trojan Horse for Steam much like PS3 was for Blu-Ray. That makes Valve's position in the upcoming console race that...

It looks like Microsoft are stealing our ideas again. Our consoles haven't been able to play used XBOX games for years
