While it's rarer, Steam does do some dick-ish things, or act in a way that is less than ideal for developers/consumers. But at least Steam generally treats it's customers better than the others you mentioned.
Re-sell digital games? You know someone killed that thought off quickly, as far as I'm aware developers/publishers don't like 2nd hand sales anyway.
I would pay for physical editions of my favourite PC games, especially if they included cool special edition perks and such, but that is very rare these days.
I didn't ever think we'd see the day when people would start voting with their wallets, but here we are, just waiting for Sony to get the message, though.
I knew about Until Dawn, but I didn't know we were getting a remake for PS5, I've never considered Until Dawn a popular game.
@Cacbunga,
I can't make heads or tails of them, they seem hellbent on not giving us games we want from them.
@Profchaos,
Reach was also the pinnacle for me, it's also my favourite Halo game.
@thesoftware730,
I watched the video, it only showed the graphics, what else am I supposed to have seen here? Anyway, like Jin_Sakai said, graphics has never been a problem for Halo.
No, they haven't, they've already said they're going to double down on GAAS instead of single player games like Hogwarts, I would not be surprised if that's what this game turns out to be, in fact, I fully expect it to happen.
I would have even taken a decent AI upscaling job on those textures, geez, this is a little rough, but at least it's on PC now.
Pretty sure people are already overhyped for this, if IGN dunked on it and it was good, we'd have to burn what shredded tatters of their crediablity remain.
Back in the 90s, if you had told me that Playstation would turn out like this, I just wouldn't believe you, how the mighty have fallen!
Even if they didn't wish you "ill-will", even if gamers were unhappy about Ubisoft going broke, you're still burning the company to the ground yourselves. Maybe make good games, stop pushing the message, stop nickle and diming us, and treat your customers better?
It's not polarising, the game isn't good, the majority would agree apart from a few very vocal defenders who would swear it's the best thing since sliced bread.
I was expecting this to be absolute garbage, all the info and reveals prior suggested that it would be. I might actually reconsider and buy this in the future, I'm pretty sure I deleted it from my wishlist.
There were actually screenshots of the prototype of FF7 on the Nintendo if you want to look it up, not many, but they exist. Maybe that would give you a rough idea, obviously not as pretty as the PS1 version though.
I still think FFX looked good for it's age, and the gameplay was similar to previous FF games anyway, far game on FF13 though, but I wouldn't blame just the gameplay, the game was pretty hollow overall (empty Gran Pulse, no towns or minigames, being forced to read the Primers, etc...). I only remember fans constantly bickering over whether it's FF6 or FF7 that is the best game in the series, while FF8 being the most divisive and FF9 being the most underrated.
A...
I really don't agree, I can't see how moving to a more powerful system would have enhanced my immersion in their worlds, they'd probably still look the same (anime aesthetics), just sharper with more FPS.
As long as the games are old enough to deserve, I don't want anything from last gen, anything PS3 and older is fair game, although I would rather go back to the PS2 and earlier. Remastered last gen games is the biggest sin of this gaming generation, and I despise it.
I really got to get around to playing the first one, I really liked the second game.
I bought Forza 4 with all it's DLC before it they delist it, now I'll be able to download/play it as often as I like. Also got the Transformers Cybertron games before they were delisted (I really like those games), I'm glad they don't take it away from you after removing it from sale.
