You couldn't use another provider since I don't think Telstra legally have to allow open access over their HFC cable.
Although, Even I managed to finish X-2 (Because it wasn't boring me).
I'll never understand Telstra supporters.
Defiantly the worst FF i've played but I've only played from 6 onwards. Not an hard game but I couldn't get into the story, it pretty much killed the game for me. Although I didn't mind the battle system except for the summons (they were useless).
FF12 felt like it was more of a western type MMORPG which is probably why I didn't enjoy it.
They were really my only gripes with it, all in all I would just call it a forgettable game simply for the storyline.
+1 bubble for your views and opinion. Unfortunately humans enjoy fighting with each other too much and making money out of each other's misfortunes for this to work.
With a crappy 512 connection and 10 gig data caps for the month that costs $50? I don't see it taking off any time soon, especially in Australia.
Depending on the country it would be cheaper to go down to the store and rent/buy the DVD or Blu-ray (quicker too). I think it'll be more then several decades before movie downloads become mainstream and even then it won't be the same as physically owning that media.
It's part of the reason I enjoyed DMC3 more then the previous versions since the story telling was more fleshed out. Although not everyone has the same level of tolerance for cut scenes, for example, I couldn't handle a 30 or 40 min cut scene every half or hour of gameplay (I know most games don't do that but some people can't handle shorter cut scenes especially if they occur frequently).
Really I see games as extended movies, A decent story will ensure that I have the motivatio...
Windows 7 will have both 32 and 64 bit versions, although I wish they would just cut the 32 bit one out all together since few computer built the last couple or more years can't handle 64 bit.
I just like that quote but I think it fits into a lot of situations to do with kids.
Australia only gets 10gig for 512 and that costs us $50AUD. Then 25gig for ADSL+ 2 for roughly $70-$80 depending on who your with and regardless of what speed you get from it.
Doesn't the signal degrade faster with DOCSIS 3.0 then ADSL+ 2? That means you'd have to be pretty damn close to the exchange to see decent speed from it.
Personally I think Vista is a horrible choice, mainly because there was a big jump in specs required to run it in comparison to older OS'. Ever tried working on a Vista laptop with only 512Mbs of RAM? Bloody annoying when your asked to repair them and it's worse when the owner decides to have a 100 programs running at startup. I've used Vista at when I was at TAFE for half a year and the Vista computer at home was only turned on 3 times despite being the strongest in the house. In the end, th...
To be fair IE doesn't have anything over the most popular browsers. Stopped using IE in 2005.
Generally I like to do it every year or every second year if I'm not too lazy. But as far as background processes go, I have 36 running on average but I've noticed people like to have a bijillion programs load at start up and then they complain the computer is too slow. Not only that but I've seen some crazy people try to run Vista on only 512mbs of RAM.
lets see if a DECENT NBN gets built so we play online at a decent speed and not use up the download cap in a 2 or 3 days.
Have you been living under a rock for the past one or two years (maybe longer)? There is no option filter you can download any more, they scrapped it a couple of weeks ago and the new one IS mandatory with no opt-out. The porn being banned you should already know about anyway.
I know my friends play WOW but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it gets banned here but I don't think it will be, not that it would be that hard to get a copy of the game.
Business grade Routers and Switches? Yes, if you don't count the wireless part, but since Fibre is becoming the norm for internet you should see more and more built for home users.
Actually, the Australians are alot worse off if you've seen some of my previous comments. It's correct that if you have FTTH and maybe FTTP you should be able to get 1 gig connection but I'm guessing no ISPs in Sweden offer it for whatever reason. Plus you can use it for TV and Telephony as a bundle or as a separate service.
It's easy to give countries like Netherlands, Japan, Korea and Sweden fibre optic broadband because there're all small countries with a large population. Loo...
I can't wait for the final release of 3.5, some of the new stuff has me salivating.
