@Tanktopmaster92,
False, minimum wage does not drive inflation, and if it does, the increase is so negligible, even if the wage increase is significant (corporations pocket this as profit instead of absorbing a wage increase). Plus, only a small portion of the population is earning minimum wage, thus increasing their wage isn't going to have a noticeable effect.
This has been debunked multiple times, and you can easily google studies that analyse 30 years worth...
@bigfish
With the pandemic and the AI bubble having happened, I'm sure we can make a case for a longer console generation. Plus, it feels like this generation never got started, I can't say that the current PlayStation or Xbox has an outstanding library of exclusive games.
Never expected them to revive this.
Glad I abandoned Sony, now they really want to make sure I don't return.
I imagine it'll end with them just not making hardware and being a software only company like Sega, the brand only lasted this long because they have Microsoft money.
Xbox sales are low, they'd be significantly lower in Japan.
I wouldn't say it was sudden, they have been slowly declining since early-ish days of the PS5, but I also thought we'd never see the sad state Playstation is in.
I feel like this is their philosophy, you can see it with the Steam Store/Client, even their hardware/software. For example, the Steam Deck being the first handheld PC and Valve funding/working closely on Proton for Linux. Their work on FEX for ARM devices such as the one in the Steam Frame Works, even, to a lesser degree, the new controller (basically a Steam Deck without the screen) and Steam Machine embody this philosophy.
They just like to push the envelope, for better ...
This is true, but didn't they recently make an Overwatch clone? Where is that? Is it still in closed beta? There was also that VR game, Half Life Alyx, and that Aperture Labs (That Steam Deck test game). There are putting games out or working on them, just not many, and maybe not big or long games.
Honestly, I just think they should put out Half Life 3 and end that saga, people want it, and they're capable of it, plus they still have left overs from when they initia...
They didn't want to spend time/money keeping it updated for modern cards, I understand why they did it, but I'd rather they keep it going since it's removal makes a handful of popular games run worse.
The regulator really should step in, but I feel like they have no teeth, we have so many Duopolies/Monopolies, my own country is really bad for this, and it has not worked out well for us.
I think this is sort of going to be like the Microsoft/Activision acquisition, I really don't approve of Netflix acquiring them.
I've only heard of this because Irys did a song for the game, I didn't even realise it was out, not that it looks interesting enough to buy.
Not for me personally, I enjoyed the Master Chief Collection, but not enough to invest in the remakes, the MCC still feels relatively new to me.
And some of those studios barely did anything.
I prefer their singer player games, that's where they really shine, they've already doubled down on GaaS games lately, so moving away from multi-player games to focus on their roots would be appreciated right now.
Geez, don't we already have two or three games coming out soon? Anyway, more Yakuza games are always good.
That battery life is a dealbreaker for it, it's the primary reason I chose the OLED Steam Deck, as long as it's not an intensive AAA game, I'm getting somewhat okay battery life, I need that 2.5/3 hours for a decent gaming session.
I remember those days, people used to glaze Xbox so much, I really don't think the site is biased, because when Xbox was doing well, it got a lot of praise, the last 2 gens it's down badly and people have condemned Microsoft/Xbox for it.
Personally, I've also condemned PS this gen too with how terrible the PS5's game library is.
Have you seen how badly they've messed up all the IPs they own? I don't think they need to buy anymore.
