I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to follow Microsoft's lead, unless they think there's no way their play base would jump ship.
I can't understand them either, a lot of Sony's actions this generation have been nonsensical, for me personally, it's driven me away from the brand and further towards PC. I don't know how they've taken such a bad turn when they had a winning formula in place already.
I really can't see who would buy the HZD remaster, the original was only last gen and most of us still own a copy of the game. I'm not surprised that the remastered version did not do well, give me sequels or remaster/remakes of much older games, especially from the PS1/PS2 generation, I would fork out for those, not last gen games I already own.
I actually don't want Sony owning Kadokawa, they already have a monopoly on Anime, and I believe they own some of Kadokawa already. I don't want them forcing what direction their games should go in, especially with the way Sony is these days.
I also miss the overworld from modern JRPGs, FF7R was so overly ambitious that the Highwind has to be a big deal in the remake, I honestly would have been okay with a modernised version of the over world.
@BQ32,
You do realise countries other than America exist, right? The fact that the AUD is weaker than the USD, that we're an island country separate from other countries where we have to rely on imports... Plus the fact that a lot of other companies know they can charge us whatever and most here will pay it (you would be shocked to know the price of Adobe products before they went with the subscription model). All those factors explain why the price is so high.
I still love Zelda, and Mario Kart/Party is always a good time as well, although Nintendo isn't chasing hyper realistic graphics like a lot of the other studios are.
Fingers crossed for Armored Core, even DLC would be fine, I don't even know what else they could be cooking at this point.
I paid $1400 for a top of the line, water cooled 1080ti at release, seven years ago, today's equivalent is $3500 without the water cooling.
Nvidia has a monopoly on AI and Cuda, if you wanted to do, say 3D work in a program like Blender, than Nvidia is the go to (although AMD is useable, the performance difference is off-putting). Video editing and image processing also benefit from Cuda cores as well.
Of course, they're going to skimp on VRAM aga...
It's already $3500 for a 4090 in Australia, I don't want to think about the pricing of the 50 series. It's even more of a kick in the pants when they're halting production on the most of the 40 series (making them rarer and still expensive).
You mean you got a grey market import, that's also how I got mine, they're not officially sold here, no retailer can officially sell them yet. I'd grab the white OLED if I didn't already buy one at the beginning of this year.
Even the Xbox users aren't this starved for games /end joke.
The social media one at least makes sense, considering the damage it does to people, especially young kids, good luck with the Gaming and Youtube though (I don't think Youtube should be limited since it can also be educational).
You would think so, but from anecdotal experience, a lot of them choose not to parent their kids.
It helps to go really long periods between play throughs for me, I very rarely replay games (I think Ocarina of Time is the only game I've played 5 or 6 times because my saves got deleted).
HiFi Rush was okay, that was more people being excited that Xbox actually had a new exclusive game.
Regardless of anyone's option about it, the game is a commercial failure though, it didn't hit anywhere near the sales they wanted.
I think they did have some guidelines for reviewers to follow, it's really suspicious that almost everyone uses the same phrases.
If they call it the Switch 2, then we shouldn't get a WiiU situation, I really believe part of the problem was the naming convention used.
This is part of the reason I dislike playing on the TV, I think we can afford to make the text a little bigger, or at least give us the option. While I can read it reasonably well on PC, sometimes, even on a smaller monitor it's hard to read.
