IMO Demon's Souls is really not as hard as most make it out to be - at least not if you take your time and excercise patience with it. But I definitely feel gaming has gotten soft particularly this gen.
I personally would love to see someone give this IP another shot in the arm through a sequel. Either that or another take on a modern day rpg.
"It will be such a great pleasure if there are many voices from fans asking for DLC, but I am very confident that the game is fully complete and everyone will be satisfied with the game without any additional contents."
"Finally, I would like to be fair to all fans of Dark Souls. I do not intend on providing any items or weapons which a player can buy in order to become advantageous in the game. I would rather prefer to provide an equal amount of opportunities ...
@ xabmol
Yeah, I was scratching my head about that, too.

Lol. So true. And i'm pretty sure that the vast majority of PS3 owners who'd prefer to have a mic either owns one or have little to no problem acquiring one. I doubt that this lack of a mic pack-in is as big a deal as most make it out to be. Maybe not as "appealing" to some potential PS3 buyers, but not so much an issue in the scope of current owners.
I thought it was just an isolated issue with my PS3, considering that lately my PSN's been rebooting itself a few minutes after starting. R3 froze up on me immediately after the beta installed.
"Popularity and fun factor is better than a game with originality."
A prime example as to why gaming is progressively going down the sh•tter.
This is about the equivalent of giving fans the All Star vote in the NBA.
"Day 1 DLC' is the worst trend in games right now."
I find DLC, period, to be among the worst trends in gaming right now.
Perhaps the best implementation of VC I've experienced was EndWar. Maybe if others were as intuitive, it wouldn't be as much of an issue.
Edit: My bad. Off-topic comment.
Bubble up, sir.
"Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is one of those titles that gets absolutely flogged when the reviewers get their hands on it but for the most part I think it’s a grossly misunderstood title. For one – many people have been indoctrinated into the Call of Duty and Halo style of shooter preferring the fast action, short life span, instant gratification that these top tier shooters offer."
A VERY true statement.
I highly recommend it, especially if you embrace a little thinking in your games. Now granted, its a bit rough around the edges, but still a great alternative to the COD-centric shooter fatigue that has plagued this gen. Besides, at this point, DR should cost little to nothing.
"I want to know if its actually challenging. There is no fun in an easy 20 hour game."
AC:Brotherhood instantly came to mind when I read those lines.
^^This times 10.
HS is among the few games that I can honestly say that Metacritic and the like doesn't give an accurate reflection of score-wise. I'm not into this fanboy nonsense but I do believe the media disdain for the PS3 attributed to the lower scores.
Agreed
I agree a thousand percent. If the animation issues haven't been addressed this year, then this will mark the first since its PS2 debut that I will not purchase an NBA 2K game. The last three games have been abysmal in that area.
Well spoken.
@zerocrossing
Sadly, that has been the case with just about every facet of entertainment in recent times. It's not just limited to gaming.
"I couldn't even finish the demo"
lol
