Going by the demo, this MK has the potential of being the best of the series. And it does have a MKII vibe to it.
My point exactly. Who's to say that 2K would've had that same fire lit under them had EA never intended to release a bball game. Lack of competition is a large reason why the Madden franchise is so stagnant.

I agree. I'd prefer that the GOW trilogy be just that - a trilogy. Would be nice to see Santa Monica do a new IP or maybe even continue the previously planned Heavenly Sword series.
Only in a perfect world will we ever see that happen. EA knows its fanbase is naive enough to purchase Madden despite the complaints, and therefore, has no incentive to improve the quality of the game. Just as someone eluded to earlier, don't be surprised if this EA/NFL partnership becomes permanent. 2K should just give up their pursuit of the NFL license and focus on aquiring a share of the soon-to-be-expired NCAA license.
Surprised the article didn't pay homage to 1984. Had it not been for that year, video games may not have existed as they do today. Nintendo (and to an extent, Sega) almost single handedly revived console gaming following the Crash of '83.
Copy protected game files have been the bane of this generation of gaming. I recently had my 60GB finally give out on me and so far, its been a pain in the a** trying to transfer all my old save files to my new Slim. Good you're being proactive about it. My 60GB crapped out on me last week and I took advangage of this deal immediately after at K-Mart. But now I'm going through headaches trying to transfer all my old data from the 60GB to the 160. Please, whatever you do, I advise you to back up if you can. Trust me - you'll thank yourself for it in the long run.

But despite the fact that I've upgraded to that same amount for my PS3 HDD, I still save all my media to the external (particularly because of the convenience of the folder organization which is lacking when saving to the PS3's HDD). I agree with dp277407. I didn't purchase the game until the price went down. And it took forever for that to happen. And for a 3 year old game, it still rivals a lot of the mediocrity that's been coming out as of late.
Nice to have studios like QD around for my mature-themed title fix. The industry need more devs like them - or as Mr. Cage puts it, "auteurs".
