I just couldn't get into GT5, I haven't played another racer for more than a few hours since Road Rash on the PS1. I gave GT5 a good five hours of play time to see if it could catch my interest, but it didn't. I will say it's a great sim, just wasn't my type of game though. Also, the jazz was a huge turnoff for me. I spent the better part of an hour transferring my MP3's over so I could play without listening to their music. I don't know why, I listen to classical ...
I believe it was a ship that tied into the Portal story. It's been awhile since I've played, so I'm not 100%. I'll be playing through the Orange Box again as well, just as soon as I find out when the game is coming out.
The article was updated, this only potentially effects people who use the custom firmware. Regular users are not at risk.
I can't believe Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast or any of the games in the series didn't make the list. Jedi Outcast was an amazing game.
Gamefly costs $225 for 15 months and you are allowed one game out at a time.
PS+ is only $50 for 15 months and you can keep all of the content while your subscription is active.
There are good arguments to be made for each one, I think they're about even. The point I was making, is that the author and many people who dislike PS+ always use the argument that you can't keep the content. But, they'd never use the same argument with something like Gam...
Here's another similar scenario, in 2015, I'll have been a member of GameFly for six or seven years paying $40/month to have four games out. I come on hard times and am forced to discontinue the service. I'm now forced to give back the four games I had sent to me and I'm no longer able to play the hundreds of games I've played since becoming a member.
Does this make the GameFly membership a bad thing to have? Hell no, I make full use of the games I get eve...
I can't wait for this to come to the PSN. This game is absolutely worth more than they're going to be charging for it, so there's no reason not to buy it day one.
I've been playing Blizzard games since Blackthorne, I was a huge fan of that style; I remember playing the hell out of Prince of Persia and Flashback on the SNES. I've played most of Blizzard's games since and while I liked Starcraft II, I think their business model is coming far to close to Activision's. It just seems like they're charging for every little thing now. Blizzard's not the company they used to be.
I can't wait to play this tonight! I'm happy to see it's getting great reviews.
This is my first time hearing about Gamersgate, too. I'm guessing this is a stealth advertisement dressed as an article.
Who are the many gamers that don't like Steam? I'm sure there are some, but they're a very small minority. Steam offers some incredible sales and they have a HUGE library of games. What's not to like?
I feel bad the lady being out over 1,000 pounds, but damn, take some responsibility. How many websites these days save your account info for future use? She really should have read the windows that were coming up when she was putting her info in, then she would have read that they save your billing information.
Pro players also choose to play many games with certain graphical settings turned down or off. Most of the time things like lighting, shading, and particle effects can get in the way of winning when you need to see everything happening in the game. They didn't turn the 3D off because they disliked it, they turned it off because: 1. They're probably not used to playing in 3D and 2. It upped the FPS which helps while playing the game.
This is sort of a dishonest articl...
@ThanatosDMC: Correction, they've done DLC, but it's been free every time.
@JsonHenry: What are you saying, they're dropping the difficulty because they want a Hard Mode dlc patch in the future? You may be right, but I'd bet money that IF(which I don't think they will) they offer a Hard Mode patch, it'll be free. Just so you know, From Software has developed for the 360 before and the DLC they released for Ninja Blade was free.
It's a shame he isn't more recognized as an artist by anyone but gamers. Nobuo has made so many songs that I enjoy hearing.
I don't know that this is an interview, it looks more like a collection of quotes by Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth.
Wow, I never would have dreamed they'd be giving us a day 1 game, much less a game I would have bought day 1.
Games are definitely cheaper on the PC, Steam alone will save you hundreds if you buy during their summer and winter sales. Something else a lot of people fail to mention is that nearly everyone has a PC. There's usually no reason to buy a whole new PC when you can do some minor upgrades and have a speedy machine. Spend $200 on RAM and a video card and the majority of PC's can be upgraded to play most games at high settings.
Pachter: "I know you don't think I know anything about PC, but I spend more time playing PC games than any other genre."
Wow, I didn't know they went ahead and made a PC it's own genre of game.
I think the awful port is why I hate GTA IV as much as I do and I've really started disliking Rockstar. At the time I had a GTX 260 video card. If I ran the game at 1080p I would get 40-45FPS and it would constantly dip below 30FPS. If I ran it at 800x600 I would get 42-48FPS and it would constantly dip below 30FPS. It was so horribly optimized for the PC that I just started hating the game.
Bully had the same problems, there were times where it the FPS would just crawl f...
You forgot:
4. Kill Vanille and Hope.
Your changes would have made the game a whole lot better, but for me, the game needed some more adjustments. The script and voice acting, were pretty awful most of the time. I'm so tired of the love stories they keep putting into their games, too. Change it up a bit SE.
That's something I would have loved to have tried, but I only rented the game and wasn't willing to spend money on a wheel. I could see myself having a lot more fun with a wheel.
