I agree, idiotic to put Sony on that list, they could have replaced Sony with Anonymous. They're not really a brand in gaming, but they're a name that many gamers despise right now.
I didn't have a PS2 last gen, so I missed out on a lot of great games. This lets me play the better games I missed, but with better graphics and trophy support.
@YogiBear: Pulp Fiction, great scene.
I was hoping they would push their release date back a bit. If they would have released it on schedule, it would have been released right in the middle of the PSN attack and sales for the game would have been horrible even after the store came back up. Now, they can advertise it a bit more and get people talking about it again and hopefully, it sells a lot better. Those attacks hurt more than Sony, a lot of large and small developers are still being effected by it.
That's hilarious! I'll bet anything Kottick pushes the release date of MW3 ahead of BF3.
The only game I don't own or haven't played is Super Star Dust.
My friend let me borrow Infamous, must have been a couple years ago. If I owned the game, I would have went for Platinum, but I didn't wanna keep it any longer than I already had it. Now that I'm getting it for free, I think I'll go after that Platinum. I thought it was a great game.
I was totally disappointed with VIII and in love with VII when I was a teen. A few years later I replayed them and reversed my opinion. I thought the story for VIII was much better and got used to the fact that the monsters leveled with you.
My first Final Fantasy was FFI and my all time favorite is FFVI.
They're missing the biggest mama's boy from this gen; Hope from FFXIII.
The game with like 7 CD's? Yep, I played through it back in 98 or 99, it was a great game, if a little cheesy at times.
Great audio makes a world of difference. A decent set of in-ear headphones lets you hear things you wouldn't normally hear, even with an on-board sound card. Plus, like the author said, it helps to drown out other sounds.
I'd love to see a PC version that isn't total crap.
You're right, I guarantee Sony gets at least a few calls every day about someone having fraudulent charges. Visa and Mastercard, have far more calls every day. What are the chances that just a few of those callers own a PS3? Of course, they're going to automatically link their fraudulent charges to this PS3 issue.
It's not a bad idea to protect yourself and get a new card and whatnot, but so far there's no evidence that any of these new cases are a result of t...
I don't see how it can possibly live up to all the hype surrounding it.
I played the game a bit when I was a teen, but I mostly played Doom 2 over and over. Duke 3D just didn't run too well on my PC back then. Also, once I started playing Doom 2 and Rise of the Triad over my modem, I pretty much abandoned all other games.
Just do what I did, run a 25 foot HDMI cable under the carpet and a USB cable through the wall to a USB hub and attach a keyboard, mouse and controller.
I've been playing Super Meat Boy that way, on-and-off, for the last couple of weeks. You really need comfort when playing that frustrating game.
Still won't be as bad as buying the DLC for The Fight: Lights Out. You can buy cheat codes for 99 cents, but you only get 10 uses per purchase. I knew DLC was going to be bad when they started it, but I never thought it would be this bad.
I just bought it for $28 off Amazon, should be here tomorrow. At least I didn't pay full price, though.
The Immortal for the Genesis was the goriest game you could find back in its time. There were so many gruesome ways to die, I remember Nintendo Power running ads highlighting them all in their magazine for the Nintendo version. Then during fights there were different ways to kill your enemies. You could decapitate, electrocute, slice them in half.... lengthwise and make their heads explode. All before the Mortal Kombat brouhaha. The Immortal is a great game, but hard as hell to beat.
Just finished installing it, I've been wanting to play this game since I heard about it. I usually wait until all the episodes are released to buy the game. I'd rather play the game all at one time rather than wait until a new episode is released.
Out of this World is still one of my favorite games. Even though it's an April Fools joke, he brings up a lot of good points about the game. The story unfolds without any real dialogue and you can understand a lot of what's going on in the world Eric Chahi created.
"While Metroid is not a dreadful game, it regrettably comes off as primitive, archaic, and baffling."
Baffling.... To me, that says the author has trouble with games that require skill and patience. The original Metroid was a hard game, but if you're willing to invest some time and effort into completing it, it's a fun game.
As far as being primitive and archaic.... The game is 25 years old. Even still, Metroid was years ahead of other games...
