While I do think it's way too early to tell if it'll be a GOTY contender, it looks like it's turning into a great game. And it won't surprise me if it does top many of the GOTY lists.
Some great games are listed, but it doesn't make up for there other list having Hotel Dusk as one of the most disappointing.
Get some quality headphones or canal phones and you'll be able to hear every eerie sound. A game like that deserves to be played with the best possible sound setup and if you can't play it loud, play it with headphones.
Same here, I really enjoyed that game. The story was good and I loved the film noire style.
So, if you let me into your house in Canada with the knowledge that I need to behave myself, then I turn into a complete jack ass and start spouting out racial slurs and what some people do to your mother on a regular basis. You can't tell me to stop or make me leave? The Canadian constitution would protect me? I don't believe it.
It's the same thing here, Black Ops and the servers that people play on are owned by a business; that business can require that you fol...
I was wondering how they were going to incorporate the 3d effect into a Paper Mario game. This looks really good though, I can't wait to play it.
The value I've wrung out of PS+ far outways the $50 I put in and I still have what, 8 months to go? My only complaint is that I just spent a good $40-50 during the Steam sale and I'm not gonna have time to play all those games and all the games PS+ is offering.
He was exaggerating to make a point; way to pick out one small part of a post to disagree with.
GWAVE makes some good points, I remember a lot of things I hated about the ATARI days through the Current gen. But, there are always a few select developers that lead by example and make quality titles. Square Soft was one, now we have Team ICO, Double Fine and others.
Hrrmmm.... I wonder if the new PS3 hack from fail0verflow will have helped to create an illegitimate winner. Someone will have a couple months before it starts to get the piracy part down and develop a hack for the game. Really of sucks for the people that can do this legitimately.
Here's a video of the game being played, it starts at around 2:30.

This phone looks pretty awesome.

PSP2 won't have 3D - Sony

@s0ph1atr0n:
Also, the PSP2 will not have 1GB of memory, unless they plan on outputting 720p-1080p onto a TV. There's a reason most video cards aren't in the 2GB area, because any more is not needed at our current resolutions. The amount of memory needed is determined by the resolution...
Bully and GTA IV are two of the worst PC ports I've played to date. I'm not very optimistic about this being any better.
There were a lot of updates to the Steam sales. They just didn't get too many degrees for some reason.

I'm right there with you, I wanted to get the Plat for LBP, but getting.. what was it? 30 people to heart your level just wasn't happening for me. I just couldn't come up with any good ideas. I spent the better part of a day creating a crappy Unbeatable Banzuke level. I'm just glad there are a lot of people out there creating original content for the game.
Re-Loaded for PSOne was a pretty fun game back when I played it. If I didn't have so many games to play already from PS+ and the Steam Christmas sale, I'd buy it. I need more time, dammit.
Definitely FFVI, the story was epic for its time and still holds up today. They didn't just focus on one character, instead there were many interesting characters with great stories of their own. FFVI had enough side quests to keep you entertained for so many hours. Still, it's my favorite RPG to date.
Edit: Let's not forget the music either, even with midi, it still sounded amazing. Re-released today with lossless orchestral music, it wouldn't have an equal. ...
I agree, they shouldn't let Capcom touch it. Although, Nintendo should let Atlus take over. Atlus put out the best Zelda game I've played in a long time with 3D Dot Game Heroes.
Zelda hasn't been hard since Ocarina, even then it had some tough moments, but overall the game wasn't that hard. It's sad, the newer games offer very little challenge. I love the bosses, but I don't think I died once during any boss in Twilight Princess.
I decided to count how many multi-platform games scored 7.9 or below on the PS3 and the same game scoring 8.0 or above on the 360.
Virtua Tennis 3
8.0 vs 7.3
Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII
8.0 vs 7.0
Need for Speed Carbon
8.2 vs 7.9
Call of Duty 3
8.8 vs 7.8
NCAA Football 08
8.3 vs 7.8
Armored Core 4: Answer
8.0 vs 7.8
I bought my PS3 when it was $400 in the US, I also bought LBP + two DS3s with it to play with my family. I had a bit of buyers remorse that day. I'm happy I own the PS3, but damn, that was a lot of cash to blow in one day. Back then, it was over $120 after tax to buy a couple controllers. That's just too expensive, especially with how much you're spending on the console.
