@sd11 You have to understand, the 3 & 4% are percentages of sample sizes that represent all developers that could possibly be developing for the WiiU and Switch. Whether it's 2,600, 4,500 or 2,000,0000 doesn't matter because those numbers are representations of the total number of developers. They didn't survey every possible developer that could develop for the WiiU and Switch, they just surveyed a smaller amount to get an idea of what percent would be developing for those co...
Sony just seems to be doing everything, mostly right this time around, solid exclusives, decent pricing especially compared to the PS3, and strong hardware. I still don't know how VR is going to turn out, but it seems people who own it love it, it just needs more content which should be on the way this year.
I just can't see the Scorpio working out, too well. I think they're falling into the trap that the PS3 started in last gen. The PS3's price was far too ...
I've always loved that music though! If it's fairly cheap I may purchase, but it'd have to be in the $5 range for me to bite.
mikeslemonade is right.
Let me start by saying I am not a Nintendo fanboy anymore, they lost me during their Wii shovelware phase. But, I like for people to know what they're talking about. Everyone keeps harping on the amount of RAM like that's an issue, PC gamers looking to upgrade their graphics card often get this wrong, too. The RAM is such a minor thing these days, look at this link for proof:

The SNES for me, games became more "adult" and adding decent story-lines to games became common and not just an afterthought.
Maybe read the article? This is part III of XIV...
FFVIII is by far my favorite 3D FF game. When I first played it I didn't care for it, sadly the fact that NPC's "leveled" along with my characters made me dislike the game for whatever reason. After replaying it some years later, it really grew on me. The story was great, the characters were good, music was amazing, you could use airships!, overall, it was an great game; for me only second to FFVI.
@Neonridr: There is a 360 emulator, but whether it has any working games is another question; the Wii U doesn't have many, if any fully working games yet, either. The Wii U isn't exactly faster than the PS3, so I'm not sure your question makes much sense in that regard. Perhaps the reason we keep seeing Nintendo emulators is because they continue to use ARM based processors? That would be my best guess.
The original PS+ was pretty great, I had it for the first couple years, I was about to renew my sub, but looked at what was offered and it's pretty awful. I think what they did, was replace PS+ with PS Now. PS Now makes you pay a bit more, but gives you access to a whole lot more games at once. It's too bad, I really like PS+ early on.
I was really looking forward to Star Craft: Ghost, everyone thought it was coming along nicely, then out of nowhere Blizzard decides to cancel it. There was a lot of hype surrounding it, so I'm not sure why they didn't continue on.
Back in the 90's a friend of my father's owned a few VR headsets for the PC and he would charge people to use them for a certain length of time. I was able to play VR Heretic, Doom and Mechwarrior on the PC for a good chunk of time. Now, as a 15-16 year old, this was a huge thing for me. While it was a fun peripheral to play on, even back then I could see that it was a gimmick, it was fun at the time but would get stale quickly. In the end, I wanted to keep playing Heretic, but I want...
I remember when it was announced, Reggie made it sound like it was a co-version to the Wii, not a whole new system. Pretty much everyone on G4 and the web were confused about what the console actually was and all the casual crowd believed it to be something you buy for the Wii. Nintendo made a huge mistake with how they revealed the system. However, I don't think they're going to be out of the business anytime soon, they have a history of failures, much like Microsoft and Windows OS...
I always loved The Immortal and would love to see it revamped on a newer console. It was one of the first if not the first game to come with a warning for violent content.
The only thing I wanted in Dark Souls and now Dark Souls II is a more fleshed out story. The worlds in the previous two games are amazing and deserve a better story to fill in the spaces. Even without an amazing story, Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are still two of my favorite games this gen.
I totally agree, I'd re-buy so many games if they did that. I'd actually buy a Wii U if they did that.
Super Mario Bros 2, I can beat it pretty quickly without continuing and sometimes without dieing.
Every once in awhile, I'll play through Super Mario World and get to 96*.
I think most of my go to games are SNES games. FFVI, A Link to the Past, Out of this World and Prince of Persia are all games I usually replay at least once a year.
The newest game I replay is probably Psychonauts, one of my all time favorites.
Everquest has too much content. There will be 19 expansions in November. It gets extremely hard for newcomers to get into a game when it gets that big. Also, with so much content zones tend to be pretty empty, even on larger servers.
I remember buying Double Dragon 2 with my birthday money and it ended up costing me $74 after tax. Not that I want to spend that type of money again, but that's what some games cost back then and people paid it.
Knack was a pretty challenging game on Hard; during many parts of the game you were only allowed to be hit twice before death and many of the enemies could be somewhat unpredictable. Good game overall, but wow, so many plot holes.
