I'll end up playing Double Dragon because I loved the original and even the NES version. But, it just doesn't look as good to me. I can't wait to play Scott Pilgrim, I've been wanting to play it but never got around to buying it.
While I agree that Demon's souls was harder, Dark Souls was a better, more polished game all around, imo.
You mean paying per year. These semantics arguments are getting old. What does it matter if it's considered free or a rental? In the end every user needs to make a decision if the service they're buying is worth the money they're spending. For me, in the case of PS+, I'm more than happy to lease these games until my subscription ends. I've wrung out well over the $50 worth of value per year from the games they've offered.
SmokingMonkey: I love the avatar, RIP #24.... one of my favorite characters in the series.
I don't own a PS2(nor do I want to dedicate a spot in my entertainment system to it) and I've always wanted to try out Shinobi and some other PS2 games. Now, you know why some people buy PS2 games off the PSN store.
All of the Oddworld games are great. I wouldn't say this one was underrated though, I remember it being well received back in its day. Most critics and gamers that played it, loved it.
MMO's have always been a grind. I started out playing UO in '98. It didn't feel like a grind at first because everything was so new, but once I figured out how the game worked everything could be a grind. Farming gold, starting a new character, working your mule for ingots and leather, it was all a grind.
I switched to EQ awhile later and it was also a massive grind. Once you hit 50+ the game came to a screeching halt, it would take hours to build up a good buffer...
I disagree as well. I played through both a Crack in Time and Tools of Destruction and had a blast playing them. Of course, they were my first R&C games so I had nothing to compare them to, but they were still very entertaining.
For me, nothing really compares to the let down of FFXIII. Just an awful, awful game from beginning to end, I was so disappointed.
Between Steam and PS+ I've stored up quite the collection of games. Then Amazon gives away a free app every day for Android. I have old 80GB IDE HDDs sitting around and AGP video cards. I'm a digital hoarder for sure.
.....mmop!
Nintendo needs to hire someone that knows what the hell they're doing at these events. They do all these idiotic little skits that a 12 year old would roll their eyes at. Know your demographic Nintendo! At E3, you're dealing with investors and adults, not elementary school kids.
They also need to learn how to show off their product. I remember when they announced the Wii U and no one really knew if it was an add-on to the current Wii or a new system. Even on G4, they ...
I'm downloading it now. I haven't played a Virtua Fighter game since VF3. I hope it's decent.
Sony re-releases their games and adds features, like upscaled graphics, trophies and other little bonuses. They also give you a good deal for multiple games. The problem I have is that Nintendo re-releases and gives you absolutely nothing extra. Look at Mario All-Stars and Zelda OoT. There are other examples that have slipped my mind, atm. If Nintendo would just be a little more pro-consumer, I think they'd be far better off as a company right now.
I've been a member since the first month it started as well. Near the end of the first year, I was hesitant to renew because they started giving away games that they already gave us. I did a quick estimate of the value from the year and figured $50 was a good enough value for what they gave me, so I renewed. The value for this year has been amazing, the first few months alone were a good enough value to justify $50, imo. Now, they might be giving us more full PS3 games!
It kind of reminds me of a VG Cats strip from 2004:

Wow, there's really nothing left to watch on G4. I know some didn't care for him, but Kevin's style of humor was right up my alley. I guess I'm not so mad about losing G4 with my switch to Direct TV now.
I have too many games to play because of PS+... Not the worst problem in the world though.
@Kevin Butler: I hated VIII for some reason and loved VII when they came out. I then replayed them a few years later and it kind of switched. I still like VII, but like VIII so much more. I know I'll get disagrees but, the story in VII isn't all that good. The story in VIII was far better.
If you could remake every FF game to date with the same graphics and maybe some touch ups to the writing of the older stories, I think FFVI would blow every other game out of the wa...
Ya, thanks for that... now it's in my head as well.
