I thought Legend was quite good. I mean it didn't live up to it's name, it wasn't legendary but it was good. The action was solid and fun and it took Lara back to her roots successfully. Am I the only one who thought that about legend?

Anyway, back to this game. I think it looks promising; more back to basics (tombs) for lara but with a next gen look and play. I expecially like the ruin the 4th shot. Lots of nice detail.

I like your conspiracy theory. When console sales forecasts are tied in so heavily to game release dates it is easy to see that you could be right.

Also, if it does happen to be true it just goes to show how much reliance sony puts on these "system sellers" and that they weren't being completely honest when they said that they expect their best games to come from in-house developers. Well, this is true only when the 3rd party devs have moved to multi-platform.

Final Fantasy XII definitely should NOT be in there, story was rubbish but FFX was good.

I also liked Primal (why no suquel?) and Resident Evil 4. Or is this list for exclusives only? I haven't played shadow of the colossus so can't really comment on that but loads seem to like it. Maybe I should pick it up?

I remember when I first played Myst. I didn't buy it, it was strangely bundled with an HP printer we bought. I hadn't even heard of the game. But we fired it up and the intro and music was enough to suck us in.

The game was hard but I am proud to say that I did complete it. Well, it wasn't me alone, me and my brothers were playing it and we'd each solve a different puzzle; not take it in turns but who ever thought of it first. Now if you want hard, almost to the realm of convol...

seeing what they produce. Their heritage is in some of my favourite games.

I was thinking maybe some thing like a survival horror done in the graphic style of Okami. It could be like a graphic novel with dark brooding scenes that create a constant earie atmoshphere.............

Definately will be keeping an eye on them!!

Okami is also one of the reasons why BC is important for me. There some titles that no matter how "outdated" they get graphically or gameplay they will still always be able to hold their own in the "sheer enjoyment" category.

Of course though, Okami's great art style means that it will probably never look outdated.............

Yes that doesn't mean he comes and visits gaming websites but it does mean he has an influenced/educated opinion on the market. Whether he is right or if you agree with him is a completely different matter.

His comment about MGS4 is probably a relative one. I think he means that MGS4 won't shift consoles in the same way as the fact that the PS3 can play bluray movies.

I personally disagree with him. I think titles like MGS will shift a heapload of consoles, maybe...

the bible point is a whole new discussion! Good point nonetheless.

For the people who like happy slapping I think of the pint glass analogy. Everytime these people (not "normal" people just these) watch a violent movie a little bit goes into the pint glass, this is the same for playing a violent game or hanging around with other violently oriented people (who kids make friends with is another whole new discussion point) but eventually the pint glass is full and spilag...

I've been here long enough to see that he is a big fan of the Xbox. That in itself is not a bad thing. But yeah, if he had said some of the comments you listed then.....well, lets just say they are openzone comments so hopefully they will be kept there in the future. This current comment seems an appropriate gamerZone comment so could be treated as such regardless of his past "openZone" comments.

besides most hard drives today are still pretty much old tech so that means magnetic disks. Which of course degrade. The beauty of optical disk, assuming you look after it, is that it could last forever. You will still be able to crack open the old blu ray disc and watch it on your lastest player (assuming the trend of backwards compatibility between formats continues).

To get round that you could keep changing you films from the old hard drive to a new one but who would want t...

But I would say they other stamements are probably true....

"is hampering sales for Nintendo".

However, I do have a gripe about the ds. The DS is probably the most cost effective platform to develop for but does that really make the games that much cheaper?

I think DS games are slight over priced. In play.com I can get Uncharted for £34.99 but "Alvin And The Chipmunks" or Bratz the game is £24.99. I am not knocking ...

@ban fans

"Censorship is needed so only mature developed minds can get hold of the game"

By censorship, I am referring to age restrictions (i'm not sure if "censorship" is the right terminology here). And by mature, I am talking about people over the common socially acceptable adult age of 18.

@Yi-Long

I liked your point about associated emotions with certain actions. Mostly that is definitely true. However, now...

This is a good way to interact with not just fans but people who have an active interest in the games development.

Okami was just brilliant!

where the objectives are based on breaking all the laws which hold societies together then you have to expect a little backlash.

Still, the game does look like a lot of fun!

But I have to disagreee with some of your points there. It's sounds like you are happy for kids to have this game as long aa mum says "Remember Johnny, killing and maiming is not a nice thing to do, but here's the game, go get them!!".

I don't have a complete knowledge of child psychology but parents aren't just to blame. Think about it, if a pursuasive medium is glamourising and encouraging certain acts then this is completely contradicting what the parent is saying....

All your points are pretty good. I just think that it would be better to judge people on their latest comment rather than just how they have been generally in the past. So based on that, this particular comment of bladestar's wasn't that bad and yet he still got slated.

It seems like he has dug himself a hole and people are starting to fill the dirt back on top of him.....

9.5 million for a fiscal year (if reached) is quite a respectible number. Admittedly it isn't quite as good as the PS2 but it still isn't a bad shift of consoles.

I think their target for 08/09 will be more at the 16 Million mark. Especially with the release of bigg hitting games like MGS.

6616d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I know I am going to get slated for this but.......

Bladestar's comment wasn't that bad. He only expressed an opinion and from what I can tell he doesn't insult anyone, put anyone down or claim anything as fact.

When I last checked it was still ok for poeple to have opinions that differ from your own.......wasn't it?

Why is there still a question mark at the title? Did the statement not include a date? If not, why not? And why are we guessing at tomorrow? (I'm not saying it won't be out, just asking the question of how we came to that conclusion....).
