I can imagine that when your 360 blows MS will say "sorry, that Xbox isn't from us please contact your individual manufacturer."
The individual manufacturer then might blame the fault on a microsoft product like the controller, microsoft might then deny that the controller had any thing to do with it.......etc etc
Point being, one source of blame and accountability is always better.
they could capitalise on this momentum by releasing some better bundles in Europe.
Maybe a BC PS3 with a DS3???? Is that too much to ask?
I prefer to think of it as we are letting them borrow it for an extended period under amicable terms. </joke>
But yeah, I would say that most of our ties with amerca are tv based which probably means we do share some of our likes with them.
However, the problem lies in the fact that releases, packages, bundles etc are region based so we will get what our European cousins generally want which, as you say, may somewhat differ to what we want.
I hope when they say simpler they don't mean just less...
I like the stories that have twists, character development throughout the game, chraracter back stories so you can see what motivates them all wrapped up in some nice other worldly lore.
This is also why I disagree with the "variable degrees of commitment". They basically suggest having a main story which is relatively small and then just padding it out with side quests. That would be crap.
I live in the UK and I would play an FPS over a 'soccer' game anytime. I don't really like soccer and the games never really play well IMHO.
Action adventure is probably one of my favourite genres behind JRPG's.
And I am also not really keen on casual games. So in short I pretty much disagree with everything he said.
I wonder what he based it on though? Must have been something.....
Last time sony AUS did this it didn't come to the UK.
But I hope you're right!
I think the article isn't exaggerating anything. It basically states that games which have a legal age limit are being sold to people below that age limit. Which is illegal.
Is any of that wrong?
Don't you invite people to comment on your blog?
In fact I almost assumed that you purposely wrote it to start a little debate and get people discussing your points.
I liked the blog btw, good read.
Ok this is quite country specific but the main points of
should there be more girl coders?
what can be done to attract them to the industry?
is there a decline in back bedroom coders?
are people avoiding the fundamentals of what game development is about?
apply to everywhere.
I must admit that I avoided sciences as a subject in college in favour of specialising earlier but in retrospect that could have been a mistake. It seems that it i...
so I can't really comment.
However, I thought the reviewers were actually going to give it a 9. They had very little bad to say about it and rated as one of the best psp titles out there yet others have higher scores.
It seemed like opera was the best all rounder to me. It was almost consistently faster than firefox, almost as feature rich and if you don't have the compatibility issues on the machine you use it then that would be a mute point for you.
I user firefox but overall it doesn't really *kill* the competition......well apart from IE7
I am really looking forward to this. The game looks solid and it sounds like the gameplay mechanics will be pretty fun and usable.
I just hope the sort out the jumping and platform grabbing mechanic; I remember jumping from a rope to a bar in Legend and Lara refused to grab hold of it until i was in precisely the right position on the rope. Thats an annoying and fairly unnecessary death.
And yet if anyone was to listen to the article, the remake should never be made and would be a big waste of squares time what would be a shame.
On saying that though (warning: This maybe controversial)I wonder if after the 2 spin off games and a movie that a complete remake would be one step to far. I loved the original but I can see their point about the voices of the characters, giving them voices already could change how personal the game could be because it removes individual...
As a rule I quite like star wars games but this could be really dull if there is no challenge. As a player you'd just feel like you were going through the motions to get to the end of the game rather than actually battling you're way through something.
I hope it's better than that though...
I think the PS3 gaming library is missing a few good RPGs. FFXIII and White Knight Story has already been announced which is ok but another couple of rpgs would be good
That's what promises are, a way to build hype around the console. Every company has to do this to an extent. They have to get people talking and interested in the console.
Now the question is, is building hype around the console and not quite delivering more damaging than not building any hype at all and seeing potential customers go to the competition?
Apart from that initial trailer that had the alleged HUD at the bottom of the screen, have we seen anything in game? this all still looks like FMV's and drawings.....either that or I am just missing something obvious.
but the graphics aren't really up to much. I know not every game has to be about graphics but this looks comparable to RE4.
I haven't had any problems with it at all and i have been using the rc3 version.
I actually quite liked the movies and as this is a direct sequel, i would be interested in picking it up.
So hears praying that the game is actually reasonable.
