Strangely cagey interview......
Still, he seemed to have his focus and direction on where the oppurtunity for making money lies.
Hopefull will be the game that Motostorm 1 should have been. And hopefully you will get more "bang for your buck" as well.
The article and above comments already state how good a move this could be for microsoft but I think Epic would do better on their own.
To begin with, Epic's entire philosphy of open customisable games(in the form of Mods, taditionally) completely contradicts microsofts closed, highly regimented platforms. Epic has seen a real oppurtinity to expand this "open-ness" to the console world with the PS3 so to close that off would be a mistake. Unless, of course, being part...
But we all know that halo's sales are not directly related to the quality of the game. Partly, but not all.
and yes, i think Calvin would be right....
that thinks this sounds like a complete pile of rubbish?
I mean really, who is going to care what dance someones creature does?
It must be hard for company you just pull the plug on a format they have invested so much into. From research to manufaacture and marketing; they have sunk a lot of money into this.
Also, I think it looks better on the company if they don't just "abandon" the format. It's shows that they still will/might support the consumer who has also invested in HD-DVD.
why hasn't sony sold even more in France?
What might be interesting to see is the total amout of games consoles sold in each country. That way we could see how many gamers there are in general rather than per console. I would assume that the UK would be the highest in Europe for this as well.....
With sales going well, does that mean any new and good SKU's won't be coming to the UK because they will be deemed "not necessary"?
Everyone gets tired of these flamebait articles but they always seem to attract people to come and comment on them.
In fact, I'm here too!! Oh cr@p.....
I didn't really have the money to afford all these add-ons. I was barely scraping the cash for the console and a few games but then to have the MegaCD, 32x etc. as well just meant that these weren't viable puchases for me over the original console.
I prioritsed the gaming, as always....
I do feel that my thumbs start to ache after using the PSP too much. but buy putting those things on the bottom will the buttons not be moved slightly out of reach?
Any doesn't this slightly counteract the "slim" quality of the device?
Everyone when they get a new computer they are happy with the performance (well, you'd hope so). Why should they slow down overtime?
Lets a assume your computer is running the same amount of software as it did when you first got the thing, the HD is defragged and no unscrupolous services are running.
After all that your computer should be just as fast as when you first bought it right? I mean, cpu's don't slowdown with age do they?
I thought there was a chance that this could be released in 2008? Well, as much of a chance as Duke Nukem Forever
Is there some sort of bug in the site?
Why does zambrota have three bubbles, then 4 and then 5 below?? Is it a bubble count problem or is it jsut displaying the amount of bubbles incorrectly?
According to his account profile he only has two bubbles? Is that the right amount or is something wrong there as well?
I could test this by keep posting, will the site stop me posting when i get to my 7?
a "if you can't beat them join them" approach? I mean wii sports is alright in that its physical but it really isn't a substitute for proper exercise. It doesb't raise your heart rate (not for any sustained amount), it doesn't improve eye-hand coordination (games can do this but I don't think wii sports does) and it doesn't improve fitness overall. All it does do is maybe burn a few more calories than you would if you sat on your ass at break time.
Wii tennis doesn't ...
I got so far in the game and I couldn't beat the enemies anymore. All my hits were taking either one or zero hp and the enemies were taking normal sized chunks. So I conciquently died......easily.
I think it must have been a set up thing (for my attack and defense) but I sort of lost interest after that.
Coincidently I was just given the PS1 version to play through but now I don't think I will bother, reading that has just kind of ruined it........
*disgruntled*
Interviews are a great way for people to get a message out. He starts off well by saying that he doesn't like university courses in Game Design because they don't prepare the student for the real world in games.
The problem is that he doesn't use this interview to say what students should be looking for in a uni course. He does say that he might prefer the more traditional courses but that isn't quite enough. A student not only wants to be employable as possible by the end of t...
