I was going to say the exact same thing. I can't how diverse the opinions are on this game. IGN for example really didn't like the story but these guys obviously love it. The music seems to be of mixed opinion as well.

Usually, on the whole, scores are a little more consistent between reviews.......

Dude, The argument probably would have been better faught if you actually decided to say why 4 dvd's wasn't so bad.

Some how "shut up" doesn't quite have the same effect.......

I can't that most people who do choose to install this will only install Linux "because they can" and not because they actually intend to use it for anything.

This sight didn't like the score but other sites consider Nobuo Uematsu to be as good as ever.

I guess music really is a personal taste thing. So is graphics to an extent but there are the standard things with graphics that can let them down (screen tearing is one).

there is no tracks from the snes version!!

That, as always was, the definitive Mario Kart. Still, the DS version had a few so that isn't so bad.

the best I could come up with was Parasite Eve......

Anyway, is there anywhere I could find a full translation of the interview? This is ok but just a little lightweight for my tastes.

The potential market of the 360. I think the main point though is "markets that I would like to aim at". He obviously see's 360 owners as more of an action oriented breed which seems to be his preference.

I can see SE wanting to make it multiplatform.

Think of the benefits for everyone.

SE get more revenue making the remake more cost effective.

Sony fans get what they want.

PS3 and 360 owners get a game they might not have played before(I consider Sony fans to be brand loyalists, not necessarily fan boys though).

The game would be one of the most played games in history in terms of amount of different people who have p...

That there is a fine balance. SE will want to please as many people as they possibly can with a remake.

So to please the diehards, they will want to keep as much of game the same as they can but to make a remake a worthy "update" to the orignal they will have to add some current gen gameplay style to complement the updated graphics.

And because of that I don't think the remake (I'll talk about it as if it WILL happen) will be exactly the same but there...

I really hate animated avatars. I am sure people will disagree with me but animated avatars are annoying because they distract from what you are trying to read. I also think they look trashy just like overdoing adverts on a site.

We all know a bad site when we go onto it and about 10 pop up adverts appear.

Static avatars give the site a little bit of professional quality which I think should remain. The more other sites get animated avartars the more it will se...

You get screwed when it comes to the price?

Still, it is quite interesting how liberal your country is about games.

KingPinguin, good post, i will be interested to hear more. I knew that the amount currently in the article was bit small, hence my surprise.

How many people will admit to playing one of these?

I have played one. I think it was just a simple one on ebaumsworld or something. But the one I played didn't have any hardcore stuff...it just faded it out when it was completed.

But yeah, it did get boring and repetitive, boring and repetitive, boring and repetitive.........you get the point.

But is that all the countries that have some beef against gaming? I mean is that it? In the grand scheme of things that really isn't that bad.

I even sort of agree with South Korea's, well, not agree but I can see where they are coming from with their restrictions.

Can anyone comment on the Finnish situation? Do we have any Finnish friends here?

But I think that what the ds is lacking is a good jrpg. I mean, FFIII was ok but it was true to it's early roots meaning not really as much story or immersiveness as we are used to today. FFIV doesn't look like it will be out for another good 1000 years in Europe, if ever.

So what does that leave us in the realm of JRPGS, good, solid immersive ones?

I think I have ordered about two crates of this stuff. If it can really do what it does in the games then I should be able to create fire from nothing just after one bottle. I can't wait, I am so excited!

Nice avatar by the way.

I can see that the DS is not feeling the hit from piracy at all. The software sales seem to be booming. I still can't believe that games that have been out a while are still so up in the chart; Nintendogs, New Super Mario Bros and Brain Training.

Of course, I only have one of those 3.

For Microsoft to really make lots of money out of this wouldn't it have to appeal to the home market as well? Or at least to more of a market than the odd hotel?

I actually think that one of the main reasons this won't take off is because of Health and Safety. A boring reason I know but how people sit at a PC for long periods of time (anything over an hour really) can really affect their comfort. Being hunched over a table would cause peoples neck and back muscles to stiffen. P...

Given the choice of a more feature rich black (BC and DS3) or a different colour I would go for the more feature rich black anyday.

At the end of the day colours are really just gimmicks that can make your console a little different to your mates. But not much more.

What really p1sses me off is when they try to make you pay more for a diffent colour, even though the cosole is exactly the same!!! Grrrrr

This for me is also a really big feature. The don't agree with the guy in the article when he says that Apple have effectively stream lined the Airbook, cutting away the features you don't really use.

One of his examples is the DVD-ram drive. He says that in the life time of his last laptop he probably on burnt about 10 dvd's. But surely thats the point; it doesn't matter whether you have burnt 10 or 100 its the fact that you have used the feature once is what makes you requir...
