Charging us for backwards compatibility? That would be a complete joke.
In america, there has always been the choice to have a BC console but in Europe we have barely had the choice. Yes, if you were quick last year and had the cash to spend you could have got a 60gb which had the partial BC (software).
But what if you couldn't afford one and had to save up? Little Johnny really wanted to play his ps2 games on his ps3 as well so he saved up but just as he almost go...
One of the funniest, fun, and many other F's (f**ing great) that a game can be.
The dual of wits was legendary!
There's a couple of bits that NEED one.
Or am I just speaking for myself when I say the answer is "NO!"
Does someone think £40 is reasonable? Someone must get too much money!
I know prices from here to the states isn't 1 to 1 but even £30 would be more than the states (if you were assuming it was one to one).
I think I will import. I know a couple of sites that seem to get around duty (not really sure how) but the price they quote is what you pay.
(BTW Gas in the stats when I left a couple of weeks ago was about $4.29 a gallon for the budget stuf...
£40?! You have got to be kidding? It's only something like $50 in the States. Whereas £40 is almost $80!
Surely they jest....they are going to surprise us and say "nah, it's actually only £30". That would be much more realistic.
I guess Sony have finally sold off the majority of the rest of the worlds sixaxis to the dumping ground that is Europe.
Ok, I am being a bit cynical but why else has it taken so long?
I like the way he refused to say anything bad about Gears. Instead he just said what was great about Resistance.
They have no problems or qualms attacking a new system and hardware. They are talented enough to be able to handle any new hardware thrown at them. Unlike some others like Valve or ID which are very pc/360 architecture focused. Which is a shame as they both have talented devs.
Couldn't agree more, I was just having the exact same debate with my team mate here at work (yes, we're not getting anything done) and we said the same thing.
At some point, bring it out everywhere.
Especially as you say, the ps3 needs RPGs.
this is just a terminology and not really a reference to anything that new, or special or different. He just means that, as the consoles life goes on the games will improve. Which is a bit of a no-brainer really.
With the term trueHD people applied numbers and specs to it like "1080p" but with this statement that can't be done.
Point being, I think this is just a throw away statement and shouldn't really be taken seriously.
Lots of flashy proton pack effects, bits and pieces flying everywhere should all add up to a lot of fun to play.........in theory.
but I thought the plot was that the player would take on the role of a new member of the Ghostbuster team. Whether that means a create-your-own character option I am not sure. Hopefully.
I am sure the ps1 and ps2 lost money on release. I don't want to argue for him but those links were proof that he wasn't making up his own statements but if you want to question the legitimacy of the links then that's a different debate all together.
Anyway, do you have any thoughts on when the price drop will happen? Or if it will be combined with a new slim model? You seem to have strong opinions so why not share them?
you usually ask for proof for peoples statements and now that karl has given you some you tell him/her/it that they can keep it. Make up your mind!!
Consoles do have losts as the real money is in software. I think this will be a priority call for sony. Do they want to ship more consoles into peoples homes or do they want to claw back some of the console loss? Depending on when the next price cut happens, we will have our answer.
I think the genius aspect was to keep the same composer from the games. It was always the music that made it silent hill for me and so because of that the movie also felt like Silent Hill.
Good article, I agreed with almost every point.
your comment "looks good but not great" will be right.
But despite that I think this will be a more than passable jrpg with an immersive plot and likable characters.
Call me easily pleased but I don't really ask for much more than that from a JRPG so I am more than likely to pick this up.
I think this will fill the JRPG void nicely
I haven't actually played it but I might just check it out.
