I believe there is a demographic who won't be interested in this game. I believe this because I am part of this demographic.
While I love the graphics and physics modelling and I really appreciate the user creation side of it, it really doesn't interest me. Call me uncreative, unimaginative or maybe just plain dull but when I play a game I like to switch my brain off a certain extent (not completely though like with a no-brainer action movie) but I don't want to have to create th...
All this love......I think I'm welling up! *sniff*
She DOES seem to prefer being Lara than herself. that surely speaks volumes about her life and personal insecurities.....
Anyway, don't want to even attempt to analyse that.
but I wonder how much of what we are seeing is Alison and how much is the Lara. I have met a few people from Croyden in my time and they don't speak quite like she does.
She just has to put on a face for a year. I wonder if she finds it sad that no one will see the real her?
I love it!
about a cell being in the PS4 is that devs will already be familiar with the architecture. And we all know what that means....
Big title used attract attention followed by an attempt to justify the title.
Bottom line though is that just because there is a rise in casual gaming doesn't mean there is or ever will be a decline in hardcore gaming. There will always be people wanting the immersive experience and substance that only hardcore game has to offer. This alone is reason enough for developers to justify making them.
I know the characters can look more cartoony and a little plasticy but they look fantastic and detailed and I think more cartoony appearance adds to the design when creating another world setting. Call of Duty seems to better at creating a real world setting and real world effects.
Just my impressions.
But when I last check pandora wasn't available outside the US. Would the XBOX live version be worldwide?
These are some risqué angles. I guess these moves are one of the main reasons she was picked.
She is cute, but not Lara.
The only real advantage for us Europeans is that it comes with the DS3 other than that the machine is still pretty expensive for what you get (hardware-wise). I mean, they want you to use lots of usb ports yet only give you two, wheres the logic in that?
Yes I could get a USB hub, but one of the main advantages of the original ps3 was that you didn't have to pay out extra for unsightly peripherals to hang outside the console because it had a lot of what you needed built in. Neat ...
Yeah it does look like they have cut quite a few effects but in the grand scheme of things I think the value of four play split screen more than compensates for these losses. I remember the good old days of playing a game with your mates without there having to be many miles and an inter-networking infrastructure between you. Taunting your mates through that isn't as much fun as doing it face to face!
Yes Havok is a good engine, yes it is used by many games but is it the be all an end all of physics? Hardly. Say havok was wiped off the planet now, I'd wager that other companies would replace it fairly quickly and fairly competently. And it is just an engine after all, it doesn't mean great games just because developers use it. It is the creative use of engines that really makes the difference.
Anyway I feel like I am kind of stating the obvious. In my mind there is no way that...
Statement: CG models are getting very realistic.
Question: Do people get freaked out by this?
Answer: No
But this is to revive the game? Then why is the film studio talking to Activision?
The FPS genre? If so then I think that he is completely wrong. Since when were people not buying FPS games? I'd say the genre is probably the one of or if not THE most popular genre in gaming.
Maybe he is referring to the more story focused puzzle/strategy element? If that was the case I still think I might disagree with him.
Someone care to enlighten me what, in reality, Bioshock did to resurrect shooters?
and yet I am surprised that he is still as closed as he is to the PS3 and what it can offer. It seems that because it is out of his comfort zone of PC or PC-like development he is unwilling to explore it's potential.
I thought a guy of his talent would be the exact opposite. I thought he'd be excited for something new and innovative. I mean lets face it, PC chips aren't going to be the same architecture for ever more, right? So he would have to get used to new hardware sometime. ...
Out of all the games that they should have kept and continued developing this should have been near the top of the list.
I would pick this over another crash or spyro any day. In fact, from my point of view, I would say this was almost the best from the list!
Not sure how well this will actually play but some of the special moves look fun and interesting to use. But would this be a 5 minute gimmick which you'd get bored of or does it actually make for a good game?
release a room friendly 32in version?
Don't know about you guys but I don't have rooms in my place that can accommodate these big sizes.
