Looks like someone's already taking the September Contest seriously :P. Great detail

No offense to the reviewer, but I think the n4g user review is more adequately graded than this one. Please note that I haven't played the game, I'm just pointing how more in-depth a user review is to this one that made headlines.

No problem. The main reason you'll be seeing "PS3 History" or "360 History" in the coming months of my reviews is to encourage some n4g users to pick it up if they haven't played it, or perhaps never heard of it. It's also just great to see how far games have come in the last few years as well. The reason for that is most of the headlining innovations for gaming have happened in the middle of this gen, rather than the beginning. PS2 era: you basically have ...

I can't necessarily agree with that when considering the indie videogame market. The likes of Bastion, and Journey in the future, are just a few of the great titles helping gamers get their "32-bit fix". It seems that there's a better ratio of satisfying stories in highly-acclaimed indie titles than in highly-acclaimed AAA-blockbuster franchises.

It's suprising to see so many indie titles feel enigmatic, in comparison to the big hitters. Better ye...

I think we're already seeing that schism in the gaming community who are focusing on either the CoD games or the next innovative game. Since the accessibility of playing online as taken off this gen, it would only make sense for publishers to want to push that aspect of gaming. I personally think that the in the next coming years we'll see more successful games that are good at what they do, whether it would be SP, MP, graphics, etc.

Graphics have certainly been a...

I'm not giving it an 8 with today's standards, I'm giving it an 8 when it was released. All of my reviews are given appropriately with the time in which they came out.

With the likes of God of War 3 and Bayonetta, Heavenly Sword would've received a lower score than an eight-point-zero. You see how that's unfair to Heavenly Sword? I'd be comparing it to competition that didn't exist at the time it was released.

I wouldn't go that far into saying it's "a must have", but it's certainly a great action game.

I'd like to say my badges are homage to rottentomatoes ("rip-off" seems like such a harsh word). It's fairly close to the same principal:

Certified Rotten: I think the vast majority of fans of said genre (in this case FPS) will not enjoy their experience b/c of *listed reasons*

Rotten: I don't think the majority of said genre will enjoy this game.

Fresh: I think the majority of fans of said genre will like this...

I agree to a certain degree, which is why I gave is a Certified Rotten remake badge. It's certainly nice for those who hadn't played Call of Duty on PC, but not at that price point.

I can't help but notice this guy has some issues when it comes to writing. I'd really like to know who's the editor for this guy's writing.

These deals I've seen with 4GB Kinect bundle make me feel that it's being phased out.

"It's very similar to Orwell's 1984"

Once you've removed the whole alternate dimension formula, which is how the story progresses FIFTY PERCENT OF THE TIME, then...sure. Not trying to be rude, but there's a difference between being similar to 1984 and being inspired by 1984, or any other book.

It's the same as me saying: "1984 seems to be inspired by We (forget the Russian author's name)." That doesn't nec...

^@ all above

Yeah, I knew I'd be in one of the lesser groups in this case. Here's my list: MGS1>MGS4>>MGS2>&g t;MGS3.

3's story: Had some fulfilling moments and great use of foreshadowing events that would come later, but it's also filled with some cheesy ideas. Although the great moments overshadow the stupid moments.

Gameplay: Changing outfits felt like an archaic mechanic compared to Splinter Cell'...

That's good to hear since I personally found this Inglorious Bastards rip-off to be a kick in the face to long-time fans of the series. I know I should withhold my judgment until I played the game, but I just can't help but state what I feel to be the case for this series. This is coming from someone who believe Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is the best WWII fps ever made. Safe to say I like the formula the way it is in Hill 30-Hell's Highway :P.

I know I won't get accepted into it so I hope to hear some great things from the community. I'm not sure if I can stand another delay :(

If you think you've seen this review before, you probably have. I just put it under the wrong category because I never saw Call of Duty: Classic when I initially wrote this review. If a mod could delete my approved review, and count this one instead it would be greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone enjoyed the review. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me through comment section or PM.

To each his own when it comes to the main title. I find MGS3 to be the worst out of the console MGS series, although it's still a damn fine game in it's own right. Review-wise, Konami should consider themselves lucky that their dev. time made the game release about 5 months before SC: Chaos Theory came out.

What does that still translate to?

"Probably have ALL of those games"

There's 50 mil+ 360's sold worldwide and around 11-12 million copies of Halo 3 sold, which happens to be the highest selling game out of that bunch. Even when you combine all physical copies of those 5 games sold to 360's sold you get a ratio of 1:2. Remember, that's when pooling ALL of the games together.

Remind me how you could deduce a &...

Personally, Alan Wake is my personal GOTY of '10, right behind RDR (although I haven't played SMG 2 yet).
