Everyone must dl this so I can stop hearing some posters degrade KOTOR II as a bad game b/c of an unsatisfying ending.
One should read every review that brings up good points. It may dig deep and be a harmful score to the fan, but it should be considered good to hear all gamers honest opinions on a game.
All 3 consoles, although mostly HD consoles, have been able to spoil us from technical fidelity to artistic design. It's not exclusive to just one system.
Going from HD vids, I personally have yet to find any part of Resistance 3 to be visually lacking in motion (which what you'll be in 95% of the game!). Seems like just another unnecessary facet to complain about when we should be happy to see the series meandering closer to it's FoM roots.
Just a flat out terrible question to ask if you've seen any footage of Comic-Con.
In a word: Kinda. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a joke, like I found Bioshock 2's to be; however, I didn't need to see UC3's beta to know UC2's was behind it's time. Gets annoying to see that it takes a sequel for most to realize it. I always see the quote "________'s MP was great, but *sequel* 's MP blows it out of the water!".
Having stated my thoughts on UC2's MP, I'm happy to say UC3 actually looks like it wil...
This logic makes me feel less intelligent now.
I've found PSN has some very respectable arcade titles as well. I still have a nagging feeling that Journey could be the best arcade title this gen; although, I could just be VERY hyped for that game.
Many people are let down by a number of things, so not sure what's suprising about the new Episodes being included.
Episode 1-6 are all fresh on RT, and not all Star Wars recently released has been garbage. Clone Wars TV series gets a commendable amount of respect and attention. Lucasarts has certainly let fans down compared to last gen. And certain SW books/comics have been more than impressive.
I actually remember ME:2 having an in-game joke about this at the Citadel. Go to the Salarian videogame seller at Citadel (not sure which floor) and listen to a few of his quotes.
"If it doesn't have the archaic dice roll system, then it's not like the awesome old RPG's." Plz note that's not verbatim, just paraphrased as close to the statement as I could remember.
No one's arguing with Deus Ex since that's the game that started the genre hybrid.
Say what you will, but I'll still call ME:2 a RPG with shooter elements like ME1. I know of what they stripped and I was disappointed at a few things, but playing the "role" of your character and seeing the choices you make from 1 affect the galaxy around you.
Certainly loot and other mechanics are important to an RPG, but I'll still hold story, characters, the choices you make as the key to RPG's. If that wasn't the case, Borderlands would be ...
I saw their Comic-Con Conference and their stance on the "decades" part wasn't completely serious. Of course, any MMO dev would truly like their game to last that long, but I found there's to be in more of a light-hearted yet optimistic stance.
It's not like they were 'declaring' it or something like that.
Bear in mind that 300 hours of content part also falls under Star Wars: TOR.
"...and Crackdown 2 fell far short of that."
You only state that you played the demo for Crackdown 2. How are you able to determine it's true quality without playing the retail game?
Although I know to respect one's opinion, no more how wrong some of them may be, I only see #1 as being the only point that actually holds any ground.
^I'm still failing to see the negative in this. It just gives more credit to a more diverse range of games, and devs who worked hard to produce them. Maybe we will see "100 different GOTY's" this year; however, I don't see how that would qualify those 100 games as being regular when there seems to be 1000's + 1000's of games (of all sizes) being released every year.
Besides, "100 different GOTY's" is a big stretch.
Why can't a reviewer's 7's just be 7's? Perhaps they just review each game more empirically then the others. Seems like everytime a review enters that 7 or lower score, many seem quick to make that reviewer ACTUALLY mean it's a 8 or 9. It could've honestly been a 7, by today's standards, in this reviewer's eyes.
"Everyone and their mothers can publish a GOTY list."
And? I fail to see why hearing more opinions as to why a certain game excelled could ever be considered a bad thing.
I think that question has been asked for every new id IP. Although I'm still not sure about RAGE, that's really saying something.
