I guess you could have a point if you hated reponsive controls and collecting items that add more layer to a great story. Unfortunately, you may be the only one in that crowd.
Wouldn't you need to play the game to say these sorts of things?
"The game looks great, but it's nowhere near the graphical fidelity of the above mentioned games..." Sorry dude but that's insanity on your part.
You know someone's grasping for straws if you have to bring in pixel-counting even when the game still looks great.
I don't understand the Ethan Mars and Arbitar choices at all.
You do hold a point to the extent of content in regards to gameplay (its theme isn't exactly niche either)and it will probably be considered the "dark horse" of '10. Still though, 2 mil sales is the lowest I've ever seen for a game being called a blockbuster.
You're not really making sense. There really is no game "that niche" to NOT make over 1 million sales. I'm beginning to wonder if ppl actually know how to use the word niche anymore and to what context.
The way your spouting out polygons doesn't matter much. Number of polygons on screen isn't of any use unless they're optimized. Which in U2's case, they probably were well optimized but spouting poly numbers alone doesn't really do much whatsoever.
Someone's being paid to say that?
You say you'll debunk any game he mentions as "unique" or "new" yet you mention Uncharted? Anyone else finding this ironic?
No, not at all actually. Gears 2's cover system worked the same way as the first in most respects.
That's not a blockbuster either :/
@ disagrees
Plz feel free to actually MAKE some point as to where I'm wrong on that. Many games have sold 1 mil+ this generation. Me stating the fact its not a blockbuster doesn't hurt the integrity of the game itself.
I must say, I can't believe something like "just good" is actually spouted. How does that make any sense?
It would be nice if they actually explained their disappointment. The only reason I can Alan Wake on this list is because of its low sales but that's it considering the game is quite awesome.
Who in there right minds actually agreed with dizzleK's BS? If so you don't know all the games the Unreal Engine covers (hint hint not just Gears of War).
I'm scared to see if this is how even a big minority of gamers think. You're closer to know what you're talking about when it comes to gameplay if you don't think U2 has great gameplay. Sorry to break it to you.
You just listed a bunch of things PS3 has and gave no mention as to how they're built. Perhaps you should re-read that part over?
You're corresponding software sales with hardware during the summer? This is one of the weakest (if not the weakest) time to be selling games. You're also vaguely forgetting the stats we've seen of how not many care for kinect or move at this point and time.
Well I'm pretty sure the spike is over (depending on how well it does in Europe) but I wouldn't be suprised if it stays ahead of PS3 (and some weeks over Wii as well) until sometime after Halo: Reach is released.
Oh boy....KZ2 at #2 ='s fairly disappointing list.
