@sinclairclown
"A handful of mediocore games since 360 launched."
1. It's spelled mediocre
2. The only Rare 360 game that DOESN'T hover around the 80's, low 80's metacritic average is Kinect Sports. What's your definition of mediocre?
I honestly don't agree with #4, and I haven't played Bayonetta. While sexuality does seem to be blatantly pushed on the game, I don't see how it literally drove sales. I'd say word of mouth and critical reception are what really drove sales. Plus, the Edge reviewer did have a right to mention God of War 3 if he had played both of them.
@Pozzle
No, I honestly haven't seen a game receive a con for being "too Japanese". They may WARN the viewers to be hesitent in buying b/c of how odd it can be, but I've never seen it directly affect the score. I don't see how Western reviewers are xenophobes; I'm sure many of them have tried a JRPG before.
I don't even see the "WoW clone with voice acting" as much of a slant to begin with. The game wants every mission, regardless of importance, to matter in one way or another. That in it of itself is breaking the MMO mold imo.
Wait! You mean to tell me Microsoft is a company that's trying to capatilize on profits through various business practices? Consider me shocked...
Since when has "uniqueness" ever been a con when it comes to reviewing a game? They'll say this game isn't recommended for everyone, but still commend it for being different b/c of *enter reason(s) here*.
Yes, let us go after the "indie" review sites b/c they're always garunteed to be better reviews /s. Why not just focus on the content of the reviews rather than the name? Some reviews will be of less quality than others, but you have to read and/or watch the reviews to find out.
I don't think you'd notice half of the differences between the 2 HD multiplats were it not for the pixel counters. AFTER you see these comparisons, you may tend to take notice of them while playing the game, if only an afterthought.
This should be considered a good thing imo. You read one of the best game reviewers of last-gen, make a grading model similar to his, give his game a 8.5 so he can take the cons and improve upon them to make an even better game.
I still don't see that to be the case. It's safe to say CoD games after 4 became less "PC-friendly", but to say CoD 4 is more of a PC game seems wrong since CoD 2, and after, made levels much more linear. Couple that with auto-aim and other "casual ideas", and you have a console game through and through. Yes, you can disable auto-aim or aim assists but when it's the default, you know what's the aim of the devs.
I'm beginning to fee...
The KOTOR boxes are inspired by the official movie posters. It's great to see them stick to tradition.
It's also available for PC.
That's actually a funny point that holds fairly true, according to my memory.
@Lazy-Sunday
I'm not exactly aware as to how I'd come off as a fanboy if I listed reasons for the 2 HD consoles on here; however, you could say excessive would be a fitting word.
Overall, the fall of 2011 looks to be the best entertainment season of this gen imo (and I'm sure in the opinion of others). The only reason I stated "either 360 or multiplat" was to just put a cap on whatever of the two he/she was implying. I'm not ...
@xPhearR3dx
Imo Condemned: CO, Kameo, PDZ, Dead Rising, GRAW, and Rockstar Table Tennis (2nd fav. sports game behind Wii Sports Resort) would like a word with you.
Don't mean to go on with a list but I found these games to be very enjoyable.

Unlike others on here, I don't devolve myself fully into giving a list war between the two when Greywulf is only slanting the other HD system. I can leave the research up to other posters on here, and I can post why I personally find PS3's fall lineup to be better than 360's.
If you want I can list my notables for PS3 (that I can remember atm): Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, ICO/ SotC Collection, and Journey.
Bulletstorm sold over 1 million copies across all platforms.
Do you mean at all or just for 360? You'd be wrong in both cases.
Just 360: Gears 3, Forza 4, Halo: CE Anniversary, and Witcher 2 if you want to talk about 'console exclusives' (which I know n4g hates)
Overall: A boat-load of multiplats that look to be truly raising the bar in their genres.
vs. PS3 this fall: Suprise! It's subjective, but I'll certainly say PS3 wins with ICO/ SotC Collection.
@Pandamobile
Although I don't care to argue this further (since this is fairly subjective), but can you describe what "still had a heavy focus on PC" means?
I contend that the "heavy focus on PC" was lost after CoD's expansion pack made by IW, which was for the better imo.
^Thank you for that info. Every little tidbit I've seen/heard lately just gets me more and more hyped :D.
