"put out perfect game in his eyes."
Don't do that, a 10/10 score should not insinuate that it's a perfect game. One case of texture pop-in would already disprove that it can be called "perfect".
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. Like that of rottentomatoes, I do give a few rated 7 games a *Certified fresH* badge depending on the situation. Heck, I'd personally recommend R3 to more people over MW2 (which I gave a 9.0 BUT just a *FresH* badge). If you have a questions, feel free to post in comments section or PM me.
I can agree with the "worthwhile game" part to a certain extent. I personally feel that the weapon wheel was also part of it's identity, rather than just being a feature. It still has some great pro's, but a few heavier cons than Fall of Man had.
Let's wait until it's released before placing it with fallout and borderlands.
Rainbow Six: Vegas is the example of a series naturally progressing to keep from being archaic. It may not have the planning/shooting strategy, but the context for the story didn't call for that.
Imo, Rainbow Six: Vegas is the perfect creation of a tactical/action hybrid FPS. Giving you just enough to familiarize yourself with the next stage, R6V allows for discovery of new tactics on the fly as opposed to chart reading. Critics and gamers agree that this seems to ...
I think the site does a great job of stating why it's a game changer. From somber advertisements to the 3rd person shooter template, it's fair to say Gears has changed things in some fashion.
@DigitalRaptor
That doesn't even have anything to do with the my reply. Interesting enough, $500 over the span of 10 years would probably only account for 1/4 to 1/5 of all of the required expenditures to play certain PC games at decent settings upon the time of their release (crysis most notably).
Xbox Live Gold stayed $49.99 from 2002 to 2010. That's 1 and a half generations with a $10 price raise. Where are you getting $75-$100?
I stand corrected on Bit-Gamer. The link you just provided says NOTHING about msn however, so this quote "Lol, they will ban this one too" is conflicting with your first post. Next time, try good trolling by covering all of your bases.
msn and big gamer have never had their reviews on metacritic, at least for this gen.
Hope everyone enjoyed the review. I'm certainly sorry to give such a scathing review if you're one of those that enjoyed R2's changes. As you can see from my FoM reivew, I felt that the slower pace and ability to just radically change shooting tactics on fly, thanks to the weapon wheel, was a great idea. If you have any questions, feel free to post in comment section or PM me.
You should expect my Resistance 3 review soon :).
In the end, it's an opinion that seems to be well-founded in even the short quote given in this review thread.
I think you need to come to terms with the fact that your definition of "most of us" is really just a vocal minority on the internet. As I stated in my first post, I can certainly agree that Rare are not the same as they used to be since the n64 days; however, that doesn't mean the studio has "SUCKED" this generation.
When accounting for all of their games developed this gen, Rare averages in the low 80's on metacritc. I think you need to come ...
Being a shadow of what used to be the argueably the greatest developer of the 90's is nothing to be ignored. While most hardcore gamers are dissappointed that they couldn't keep that title standing today, Rare still has more artistic integrity than 95% of all other developers out there.
Being a huge Rare fan back in the N64, I'm disheartend with the route they've taken with Banjo, but I still can't deny they're a quality developer that branch out ...
I don't think it's debatable to say it has failed in its first year. The closest thing to a killer app it's had was Sports Champions and it smeared smeared so many of Sony's endearing, past-time mascots by putting them in that Playstation Move Heroes game. Add onto that an awful Ape Escape game, implentations into a few exclusives, and...that's basically the jist of what they've done so far.
I don't want to say this product has failed altogethe...
I'll be sure to pick this up now :).
I see. Shame that you're restricted to 5 bubbles, like usual posters. You should have an unlimited amount of bubbles to answer all of the other users questions that come into the comment section. You don't need to respond to this one :P.
"butt kissing muffin" ?
...Well, okay :P. Just honestly thought it well on the points against the detractors just calling it a WoW clone.
"Do we need to be?"
Of course not. This was just a simple yes/no question that wasn't insinuating anything. I've just noticed how often I see your reviews on n4g and wasn't honestly sure if I have ever seen your reviews posted on metacritic.
People really don't give credit to all the work Epic has done since the All Fronts patch was released. Bots garuntee every match is 5 v 5, slow matchmaking is hardly jarring, and everything feels generally more responsive.
