I typically don't join the chorus here, but my personal beef is GreedFall only netting a 5. Figured they'd at least give a bit more credit to Spiders rolling the dice by going quasi-turn-based.
Damn. I guess I'm doing my part?
The writing team is pretty much the same from Norse GoW sage too.
It's not great, but it's not *that* bad for pixel art. But they probably had to make the call early on to worry less about presentation for more content than said indie games.
Poor Jason Blundell. Bro just wants to make a game.
Hell yeah!
Well, I wouldn't go *that* far. lol
I mean, if you're a fan of Tarsier's Little Nightmares games it's certainly worth a shot. I'm, certainly toward the lower-end of the review spectrum, but I should emphasize it's still decent, a tentative recommendation for these types of fans (though the $40 price point isn't fun to swallow). There's just something about its annoying mechanical missteps that cause it to stumble. For comparison's sake: I place Little Nightmares (1) at an 8/10 rating back in t...
Surprised no one's discussed EDGE's bias towards Nintendo.
@Eonjay
-"A 1 means broken or technically unplayable, it doesn't mean I don't like it."
Again, what I just stated is *specifically* detailed in his review methodology. Granted, there are plenty of avenues with which one may HATE a game - being broken among the most obvious - so there's obviously going to be some tension of which ones fall into that. It's perfectly reasonable to also hate that lack of... 'score nuance', ...
-"I haven’t played it yet but 1/5 is a shitty game..."
Nope. His rubric for a 1/5 is like Netflix's old scoring system: he hated the game.
-"There are too many shooters already dominating the market."
I don't get it: saying this right after confidently believing DG2 would sell like hotcakes seems like a contradiction.
I'm very skeptical of it releasing this year.
Hell yeah! March is just around the corner too.
-"I am not sure I would put Saros on the list because Returnal is a very niche title."
That's the thing: these five finalists are a result of a 50/50 voting share between VGChartz's community & staff. Returnal may qualify as a niche title overall, but quite popular to the users of this site.
Mood.
Fair enough.
Damn. End of an era.
I'm typically not the one for sentimental goodbyes, but it's certainly a unique case when your go-to gaming hub is essentially being gutted. It's an interesting dynamic in my case too. While I'd done basic 'this thing is bad/good' reviews & blogs before, N4G contests compelled me to go beyond that. It was also the first place I was given review codes. Whether liking or disliking my overall thoughts, I appreciate everyone...
