The Vita was released last year not 6 months ago.
Its not the key. I don't want the same games I have on my ps3 on my Vita. I want exclusives that can only be experienced by getting a Vita. If I want the best Uncharted experience I play it on my PS3.
And how are developers going to profit from this if the Vita version is basically being given away for free? Or are we saying that PS3 versions of the games are going to be gimped so that they easily work or can be easily made to work on the Vita?

@harvester
Will never happen. Look at the best selling games on PS3 and they don't even come close to 10% of the total PS3 owners out there.
2.2 million since December last year is terrible sales. By comparisson the Samsung Galaxy SIII did over 3million in one day and its twice the price of a Vita. Ok, even if 2.2 million is ok by Sony's standards how much money have developers poured into making games for it and what has been their ROI? I dare say very ...
Mobile gaming has brought back a taste of the good old days when 1 or 2 people with a good idea can make a name for themselves and a good income. Reminds me of the days when the ZX Spectrum first hit the scene.
As long as accolades and awards convert to some serious sales numbers then its all just empty boasting.
Well, games or not the Vita needs a price cut to start selling in better numbers. You price a device like a smartphone then be prepared for the general consumer to compare your device to smartphones when making a purchasing decision.
You do realise that iPhone and iPod touch devices completely eclipse Nintendo and Sony mobile sales combined. And this last quarter Android smartphones outsold the iPhone.
If it were Nintendo or Sony pulling the types of numbers Apple and Samsung are pulling you'd probably be ok using a term like "domination" I'm sure.
Nor do I but so many keep bagging tablet/smartphone gaming because of a lack of controls. I use a 7" tablet for my mobile entertainment and news. I purchased it after Sony stopped supporting the Go and I now take it with me everywhere.
So wait, now tablet and smartphone gaming is ok?
That's life, get use to it.
Shows that things can turn around. I'm still not convinced that without a price drop Vita's fortunes will change enough. Tearaway is certainly a game which will make punters take notice but is it a system seller at the systems current asking price?
Really, what untapped potential would that be now?
It may not spell doom for the Vita but no price drop won't help Sony's cause.
Tell me, were you one of those talking up the Vita prior to its release claiming it possibly couldn't fail?
There were few, if any, Vita doom and gloom articles at the time of its release. Those articles have only transpired because its NOT selling.
The last few days have seen some positives news come out for the Vita but that news has yet to translate into sales, for either Sony or the developers supporting the Vita.
If the Vita fails...
Final Fantasy III. Is this a Shallow title?
More like 4GB as a minimum. Can't do much with 1GB in terms of buying content off PSN.
Did they announce which games will support cross purchase or how much more expensive they might be versus just buying a PS3 only edition? If the Vita port is bundled "free" how will developers make a profit from it?
Will the Vita games be included on the blu-ray or will it be via an activation code for a download off PSN? Activation code will likely be required either way to ensure games can't be onsold.
I think cross purchase is good for &quo...
I have to admit the footage for COD for vita did look bad and only 4 x 4 via wifi....not a great reason for biying a vita.
So again, if it has games why is it not selling?
PSN is effectively cloud storage as you have to download before you can play. Problem is you need storage on the receiving device.
