So with all the disagrees there must be a few people out there that think gaming devices are better all round devices. So there is no need for a smart phone then, wow, the majority must have it all wrong.
Vita needs all the apps that have become the norm on mobile devices. Give people less of a reason to carry two devices and you're onto a winner.
If it works I love the idea but it has so many obstacles to overcome before its a reality for most of us.
Dumb parents. They allow their kids to sit around and just play games in their bedrooms nowadays. They wonder why so many kids are getting fat and lazy.
See, anyone can generalize to the point of absurdity.
Demo was OK. May watch my son play it but he will probably pick it up second hand.
Wow, look at some of those lifetime sales for Wii games!
Hardware is not where the real money is unless your charging a premium for it like Apple. Honestly, MS and Sony should work together to come up with a platform spec and build a joint console and focus on game sales.
Problem is with such a small community newcomers get owned which makes it a less enjoyable experience and in turn they will stop playing.
4 years of red ink so Sony cant afford to talk in a negative context. Sony dont need to turn things around quickly but they do have to turn them around. The cheaper PS3 and Vita bundles will help stir interest however, we are yet to factor in the Wii-u effect.
Wouldnt matter if he thought it or not, he's hardly going to say that Sony expects to lose more money this year.
@darth
Sony wishes to keep the Vita locked down just like they did with the PSP. Its the main reason I'm not interested as the Vita does not support the apps I'm used to. I certainly dont care for returning to having to convert videos for Vita playback.
It is what it is. The cheapest looking PS3 yet. This might be one occassion where the cheap knock offs from China end up looking better.
Loved the original PS3, the first slim grew on me but really dont know about this one.
I prefered the touch sensitive buttons on the original. Would have been nice if Sony could have put a USB on the back also.
Think of how much more expensive the Vita would appear to the general consumer if the PS3 cost even less. Get a PS3 with LBP2 for less than a Vita! Not sure that would have the desired effect Sony is probably looking for this xmas.
This generation felt like rehash city, old ips with higher poly counts and higher res textures. Yes there has been some stellar exclusives over the past few years but overall its felt like HD re-runs.
Love the smaller size but it looks like a cheap PS3 knock off. I'll keep my original PS3 slim model. What really disappoints is no USB sockets on the back. Love them or hate them, MS did good with their redesign of the 360.
MS got around the OS issue by releasing their changes as an app. However, i was commenting on what makes me feel current-gen fatigue. Its not so much the games as it is the way for the last 18 months you only seem to get stable and secure firmware updates.
There are $50 media centres that clean the floor with the PS3 (and 360 for that matter) that provide regular updates to make sure all media codecs are supported. The PS3 is vastly more powerful than these cheap devices b...
What i hate is the way, Sony especially, release no real good functionality in their firmware updates a good 18 months out from the release of their next platform. Happened with the PSP and now the PS3.
Almost as annoying as hearing about how the same old game is being released again on another platform.
Imagine if the Wii had failed like so many had predicted...gaming is a much better place with Nintendo around.
Single player was extremely average and would not be worth the asking price if sold separately. Starhawk is all about multiplayer, problem is where is everyone!
