I played this game when I picked it up as a remastered game for PS3 last year. Honestly, I found it to be a really dull experience. I spent most my time playing Shadow of the Colossus.
@gamer
Thing is, I bet "social gamers" don't even give a damn about the whole debate. They are just having fun.
However, what is a "gamer"? Is it someone who plays electronic entertainment? Or is a gamer reserved for those who only play a certain type of games like FPS games?
Define what is a gamer then.
Resistance to me is an ok series but the 3rd one on PS3 and Burning Skies were below par.
@masta
How many tablet games have you really played of late? If its only been angry birds or what you have read then you really have nothing to base an informed opinion on. As Emperor said, Dead Space offers a really great experience. Another World is also brilliant and Backstab is fun.
Try being a gamer for a change and not just a fanboy.
Why does it have to? Its not like Uncharted for Vita has actually helped with Vita sales.
Depends on what sort of support it garners from the development community.
Nothing wrong with getting more value from some classic games but for me its not a reason to buy a Vita just yet.
I've never been a huge fan of the franchise myself. It has however pushed the platform its running on which I have appreciated.
@battleaxe
Lol. 7 months and I'm the one being called stupid. You do know the vita was officially launched in japan in December 2011 don't you? Or does the home country of the Vita not count?
Anyway, as I've said before. If the Vita has so many great games why is it not meeting sales expctations?. 2.2 million units sold in 9 months is not great by anyone's standards. If OnLive had only sold that many units in that amount of time you'...
"I won't let them forget though"....what was it that you were referring to as being childish sorry?
Hasn't been a success yet. Its too late for games alone to change the tide on this one. Games + price drop + new marketing campaign is what's needed.
Gamers already know about the Vita and they have not been buying it in the numbers Sony predicted. If gamers fail to support it then Sony will need to attract a wider audience so expect the focus will likely change from core gaming to casual gaming if they do.
@hicken
That's not what I said at all however you dont half sound like a butt hurt fanboy. If you're happy with the Vita good on you, just at this stage you're in the minority even amongst gamers who the device is squarely aimed at.
Open mobile = Android.
Imagine if the Vita had proper app support. No more waiting for firmware updates for functionality that never arrives.
As much as I enjoyed Wipeout it obviously was not a great earner this gen. I remember when Fury came out on PS3 it barely made the top 10 for that week for PSN sales.
It looks it. Easily the most impressive visuals I've seen on the Vita. I just hope the gameplay matches the visuals and its not too dumbed down for a mobile audience.
So, what are these AAA PS3 exclusives that run on the Vita?
Cross buy was sort of available with minis anyway and isn't cross play Just remote play or have Sony give up on remote play like they did with the PSP?
Vita supporters thought it would be a hit from day one but clealy this has not been the case. I'm not convinced that cross buy is the answer.
Has anyone asked consumers why they are not currently interested in the vita?
So, its released in Japan December 2011, its now September 2012....yeah....6 months sounds about right lol.
Amazing. Its taken 9 months to sell as many Vitas as the Galaxy SIII did in its first weekend. Imagine how expensive the Vita would look if Sony officially announced the new PS3 Slim.
