Wow, people bitching about exclusives yet its the reason they support the PS3. Oh, I get it, its only OK if its an exclusive on a Sony platform.
Whilst I agree in part with your comment I would suggest that the interactive nature of violence in gaming puts them ahead of movies, TV, etc.
"but as human we developed common sense and logic"
I wonder if those who have been exposed to real life violence; say the veterans who landed on the beaches in Normandy or a woman who was the victim of a rape, think that its common sense for people to play violent games or watch violent movies, etc. Would there be far less violent behaviour without violence in print, movies, TV music and games?
I would have thought that common sense and logic would...
Look at some of the anger that comes out over one guy's comment re: violent video games.
If violent video games do not contribute to violent behaviour then I guess it must mean then electronic media be it games, movies, TV, ads or even books have no influence on behaviour. Personally I believe that everything we see and hear influences our behaviour and if left unchecked could manifest itself into violent behaviour.
Anyway, why do we defend violent v...
Keep an eye on ppsspp as well.
Downloading will eventually rule the roost (already does on some platforms) so the whole argument about locking a disc to a single account or console will be a mute point.
Its one extremely hard game.
If using the browser on the 360 requires gold then I don't like the chances of Skype being free to use either.
I'm sick of the whole Vita debate as well. Its a capable device with some great games but the majority will never want or own one. Why, because there are other more relevant devices for the masses. Of course I don't expect Vita owners to understand that.
Honestly, I have given up using my PS3 and Xbox as a media centre as they both fall short of what I wanted them to be. I got sick of waiting for updates and drivers to improve compatibility that never came. In terms of media playback you get much better value from a device like that offered by Western Digital than any console at the moment.
I've got a number of blurays and to be honest I hardly watch them anymore. Sure the quality is great but I prefer streaming over the net or playing direct from my HDD via the TV. So much nicer having 1000's of movies at your fingertips than a wall (or room) in your house reminiscent of a blockbuster.
For me its more about the Tegra 4. The next gen of tablets and smart phones are going to be graphical powerhouses.
@Fried goat:
Rubbish, otherwise Zune would still be with us. Furthermore, tablet manufacturers are already dropping planned support for Windows RT on upcoming devices.
Do they get a ribbon for coming first? Honestly, it means nothing since you're only as good as your last console.
In terms of the original Xbox the 360 has been a real success for MS, especially since they had to dig deep to cover their completely avoidable RROD debacle. As for the Vita, it has gone nowhere fast and unless Sony relaunch it then it will fail. I know Sony/Vita supporters will disagree but nothing about year 1 sales suggest it offers what consumers are looking for. Time is running out as well since later this year Tegra 4 powered devices will hit the market and totally strip away any not...
Difference is that both of those systems have sold 70 mil +
Is it Addicting or Addictive? I see "addicting" used everywhere and it seems wrong.
I'm pretty sure I wasn't. I often get slammed for disagreeing with opinion before a game is released.
And yet how many drones proclaimed each of those games as going to be AAA before they were released.
If you're talking consoles. At least Vita is outselling the PSP I guess.
