I don't get it. Is this really a smartphone/tablet game? I mean where are the angry birds and thieving piggies lol
Seriously, ever since getting a tablet a little over a year ago I've been amazed at the wide array of games available. Yes there are lots of "casual" games but there are a growing number of games that would not be out of place on the Vita or 3DS. Bards Tale is another fine example.
One thing is for sure is that gamers are cer...
To be honest I could not care about integration with social media sites, I don't do this on my PS3, 360 or Android tablet.
What about poor grammar and incorrect punctuation?
@Nathan:
So many discount touch screen gaming as nothing but casual. 2 years ago would you even have thought ME: Infiltrator would have been possible on a smartphone/tablet. Sure you were being sarcastic but smartphone/tablet gaming is evolving fast. Next gen mobile hardware will eclipse what the devices can do today and so open the door to even more possibilities.
Smartphone/tablet gaming may have originated from a truly casual background but that's...
Yeah, cause smartphone and tablet gaming is all about angry birds.
My prediction is that both the next box and ps4 will sell less than their predecessors. Why? Because casual gamers are needed to ensure consoles sell ongoing. Those casual gamers have more and more options for gaming in the years ahead.
Doubtful. Otherwise Sony would have been done for Killzone 2 footage and MS over that whole Milo incident.
Yeah, cause COD wasn't released last year at all.
Wow...compared to the hype the ps4 and nextbox have been getting....wait, I've not actually seen any hype for the Ouya as yet. Just fact based article s.
Using your thumbs on the touchpad looks like it could be a little cumbersome as the dualshock controllers would impede easy access. Especially comfortably reaching the centre of the touchpad.
Problem is OnLive and whatever Sony is offering are constrained by services and networks outside their control. Basically if your connection made OnLive impractical then why would streaming to PS4 be any better?
But these are the exact same games that are available in abundance for smart phones and tablets. I thought these types of games were frowned upon by Vita supporters.
And yet there are a raft of tablets and phones starting to hit the market with built in controls. Android 4.2 introduced the ability to plug in controllers to tablets. Isn't there also an android based console hitting the market next month...
And its those casuals that are needed to help bolster the Vita. Its those casuals that help bolster console sales in the years that follow its launch. Now those casuals have an offering they are immediately familiar with. Yeah, Sony and MS won't even be watching this.
What are your thoughts on the 25 free apps and games that were listed on n4g yesterday that are available for the Vita on Sony's mobile store?
Anyway, this console is being too easily dismissed. The masses are familiar with what it offers and are use to having large numbers of apps and games to browse. On another note, it will probably support any media format and allow you to use chrome to browse the web on your tv. Given they plan to release a new model every year b...
Make a quality game with general appeal and it should. Easier said than done mind.
I thought remote play was one of the selling points of the Vita.
The comments on this board show such a list is completely subjective. Best way to find out if you like a game and subsequent franchise is to play it.
However, for me one of the most over hyped games would have to be Rage. Good looking, no real story and one of the worst end game cut scenes since KZ3.
I follow the games not the hardware. Being loyal to a brand is pointless as what does it actually achieve.
Well, mobile is where lots of money is to be made. Why limit yourself to an single platform.
Wow, look at all the fanboy crap being bandied about. Gears, like Uncharted, is a fantastic franchise. Be a gamer and play them both and don't diss the other just because of misplaced loyalty in a bit of hardware.
