@king
Big difference is that the tegra 4 urinates all over what the Vita can do.
I'm not sold on the form factor but what it packs in in terms of features and capability has me very interested indeed.
Have you seen some of the games available for tablets and smart phones of late? The visuals are stunning yet they won't even compare to what the tegra 4 will be capable of. Honestly, take a look at Riptide GP, Dungeon Hunter 3, Need For Speed, Modern Combat 4 and none of them would look out of place on the Vita. However, big difference is that all those games combined would cost less than half the price of a single full price Vita game.
Oh, I'm waiting for someone...
I'm definitely not sold at all on the form factor but boy is this thing packed with features. The tegra 4 GPU will make current mobile graphics look positively old.
@beast
Take a look at the iTunes and Play stores and you'll see some graphically intensive games that would play just fine on a TV.
Honestly, saying tablets and smart phones can only play angry birds is the same as saying the Vita has no games. Its just plain ignorant.
Yes, but Project Shield looks like an incredible device that will feature the best mobile graphics seen to date. Heck, with a 72 core GPU this this should look fantastic when playing back on the TV as well!
@outside:
I actually own and game on both consoles and even purchased one of my sons a Vita for Xmas, which I still believe was a waste of money.
I get sick to death of people claiming you're a troll because you don't agree with a point of view or opinion. N4G is more news for fanboys than news for gamers.
As for your assumption of me wanting the ps3 to fail again, you were completely wrong. Its exactly THAT attitude which pi$$es me off....
And I'm sure if nothing had changed re: the price of the PS3 he would have been right.
@InTheZone
So if I buy a second hand game why should I have to pay again to play that online?
I buy most of my games second hand and its cheaper for me to buy them on the 360 and pay for Gold membership than to buy the same games second hand for PS3 and then have to buy online passes.
You know, even though I purchased a Vita for one of my kids this xmas I hope the Vita fails as I'm sick of ignorant fanboys who pounce on anything negative about their beloved Vita. Its nothing but a toy that is already outdated and irrelevant yet they swear it will be around for 10 years.
Hicken, I'm sure you're reading this so dude, you are a f**king idiot if you think the Vita will succeed. As for all the other fanboys who side with Hicken, please feel free...
how was I exposed? tell me or are you just another jackass who jumps to conclusions based on partial facts?
I have more than 1 child FYI. my eldest wanted a tablet and one of my other sons wanted a Vita. As per usual Hicken you jump to a conclusion that's plain wrong.
As far as I see it the Vita was and still is a waste of mobey compared to the tablet.
Doesn't matter what we say or don't say here, fact of the matter is that its not selling even with a solid line up of games and price drops. More games may change this situation but really, as a parent I would rather get my children tablets than a Vita.
suggesting those as great numbers just because they are 33% higher than last week is just plain wrong. Given the time of year they are abysmal. Not even Sony would claim it as great.
For real? great numbers?
Can't blame capcom however, if you're going to play that style of gamewhy not blame Sony for not getting GT Vita lined up for a 2012 release.
"big"....really? those numbers do not reflect big.
Great list to get people in gaming on Android. I gave my son a Nexus 7 for Xmas and he could not believe the range, quality and price of the games on android. He picked up Nova 3, Moderm Combat 3, Bard's Tale and Draw Something and still had change from $20.
iOS and Android games have come a long way in a very short time and many more recent games offer console style experiences, especially in terms of visuals.
Bard's Tale (a 3.5GB) download is an absolute must have for RPG fans, especially since its only around $3.
I follow the games not the hardware. If the games I want to play require me to buy certain hardware that I can afford then I'll buy it. Fanboys seem to forget its about the games and not the hardware.
