Ok. try playing bards tale, modern combat 4 or nova 3 and you'll see tablets offer a rich gaming experience. As for controls, sync a ds3. The claim of no proper games on tablets is jyst as bad as saying there are no games on the vita. Its a generalisation to suit and ignorant point of view.
I think its rediculous how people continue to use Angry Birds to support their argument against Tablet/Smartphone games.
I'm going to wait for the game to come out before I decide.
Eyetoy games provided som great family fun so I have no problem with the game.
These games play really well on touch screen devices and def lots of gameplay for the price.
Halo 4 is a great game and Black Ops 2 is fine but overpriced as usual.
Actually Hicken although I was skeptical about the Vita before it was released I did not predict it would be doing so poorly so you're wrong on that one.
My biggest concern re: the Vita when it was announced was its form factor and lack of built in memory but only because I was a big fan (and owner) of the PSP Go. In that regard the Vita felt like a step backward.
You seem so assured of the Vita's success so would love to know why you think it can...
Really? all that for cross controller play for 1 game?!?. Should have been a great deal easier and a default feature of the PS3/Vita combo otherwise it will be a seldom used feature.
I don't think anyone would have predicted 12 months ago that the PSP would still be outselling the Vita 2:1 in Japan.
Yeah, just waiting on Hicken to come and give me a long winded speech as he makes it a point to disagree with me no matter how much common sense may be involved.
Sony should have launched the Vita with GT, its a definite system seller. I hope GT6 is a PS4 launch title.
4 years to catch up with the Vita's horsepower...I predict within the next 12 months when the Tegra 4 is released. Take a look at the latest iOS and Android games that have been optimised for their respective chipsets and you'll already see visuals that the Vita would struggle with given the resolutions and framerates being sustained. A game like Modern Combat 4 running on the iPad looks stunning!
In 4 years time the horsepower packed into tablets and smartphones wi...
I really like the idea of docking my tablet next to the tv and it becomes my all-in-one entertainment hub. Then when I head out to work take it with me for entertainment on the go.
no, you're dead right. Sony is not competing for the same consumer dollars in the mobile electronics space...oh wait, yes they are.
Both Apple and Android now market games for their respective decives which puts a device like the Vita in a direct firing line. As for tablets and smartphones not offering console like experiences....rubbish. Maybe that was the case 12 months ago but things have changed. Have a look on Youtube for the best Android and iOS games and you'...
You don't need to buy a Vita to enjoy handheld gaming, that's just arrogant.
Whether it will fail or succeed is just pure speculation right now. What we do know is that first year Vita sales have been much lower than Sony expected and they have dropped their forecast twice in the last 12 months as a result. Bundle deals, PS+ and cross-play have done little to lift sales as we constantly see the Vita only outselling the original PSP.
The Vita cannot be compared to the PS3 in terms of its slow start as unlike the PS3 which was the cheapest blu-ray pl...
Did they ever patch the ridiculous install for this game? if you have multiple profiles on your PS3 and if the players using those profiles are playing different stages of the game you'll know what I mean.
What do you base that on?
Although at this stage I'm not planning to buy one if it comes out for around $100 and is basically an Android media player that you can access the Play store on then I can see it gaining some traction amongst tablet and smartphone users. Look at how popular Android usb media players have become.
The Vita cant even outsell the aging Wii or DS and is only outselling the PSP. Given the time of year that is abysmal. I'm sure Vita owners will paint a nice picture with those numbers but honestly, price cuts, package deals, free games via PS+ and none of it seems to have helped.
I have purchased my son a Vita LBP pack for xmas as it was cheaper than a 3DS in NZ but I still feel like I've thrown good money away.
MC4 is easily the best mobile FPS on any mobile device to date. It looks incredible and for the price its a steal!
