So tell me, how is EA different to any large company that's in the business to make money?
Is Sony so giving that they always put people before profits or do they just better hide it through better PR?
Or maybe they missed out on selling an extra 10-20k copies as people didn't need to buy the game twice.
If Vita is close to PS3 capabilities then you must then concede that the next gen mobile devices based on tegra 4 will surpass the PS3 would you not?
But what if you could dock your phone or tablet next to your TV and it becomes your console?
People act as if gaming is only possible if it has a Sony or MS logo on it. At the end of the day its all just hardware that can push polygons and textures around a screen so there is nothing standing in the way of developers who currently develop for consoles releasing on mobile devices.
With the speed at which smartphone and tablet hardware is advancing I give it 4...
With over 140 million consoles and goodness knows how many compatible PC's, I would have thought 5 million for a solid franchise over many platforms was still on the low side.
I would rather have proper anti aliasing, rock steady 60fps, no screen tearing, no noticable pop-in or texture swapping in 720p than put up with all this again next gen.
@crazy:
”Let's kick off the proceedings by taking a look at the physical make-up of the framebuffer. By and large, not a great deal has really changed from the rendering principles laid down by Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. The game still renders at native 720p with 4x multi-sampling anti-aliasing (MSAA) when your XMB is set to 720p mode, while the resolution shifts to 1280x1080 with 2x quincunx (QAA) when the 1080p mode is engaged. So we're not seeing anything like native 1080p re...
OK, based on your response it means that Kill zone, Halo, Resistance, BioShock are all casual games.
What!?! COD is now considered casual? Since when was walking through an airport gunning down civilians casual?
Please explain how a game like COD is casual, because its easy to get into or because its played by millions? I simply don't understand how the gameplay mechanics are much different from any FPS over the last decade.
How exactly does cross buy benefit the non money hungry developers?
Question is, how do you give the Vita wider appeal?
Games alone won't achieve that.
Well, if gamers want to accept this analogy then they also need to accept that there is room for both brands in the marketplace.
Its funny, gamers will turn on classic games just because they are released on a platform they're not a fanboy of.
FFIII has been available on Android for some time so not much effort required to bring it to Ouya.
Look harder cause its not the case with all games as you suggest. Take a look at Bards Tale, Modern Combat 4, Wordfued, Sonic, etc.
So, which "shitty" games have you played exactly as whether you like it or not there are some real gems on both platforms.
At least these "shitty" games aren't over priced like when they hit PSN and Xbox Marketplace.
Finally, have you seen how fast tablet and smartphone games have advanced over the last couple of years? Honestly, the only thing holding back some of the games is a lack of physical controller, well guess what, that'...
Because, there are some great games on high end phones and tablets that play even better with a controller.
What the hell is so wrong with a cheap secondary alternative that has better browsing and codec support than mainstream consoles?
Regardless of what some may think there is a lot of fun to be had with some of the android games available. Using a controller (which some devices already support) just makes them easier to get into.
I dare say that Modern Combat 4 would look good even on A 40" display given its only $2 to buy. Sonic, Dead Trigger, emulators....this thing offer hours of fun for little cost. Plus it supports mp4 and mkv!
Sorry, where exactly did you read that?
So, tell me what Sony has done other than to use slave labourers to build its hardware, reduce the number of activated systems from 5 to 2, provide lackluster support for several developers that lead to their ultimate demise, introduce game passes, release inferior slim models with lesser build quality and features, block the use of some 3rd party controllers.
Just because what they do sits better with you does not make them a better company. I'm not anti-Sony but I don...
