That's a shame. It was one of the reasons I was looking to pick up a Kinect.
I wouldn't call it the best looking game on consoles, at least not based on this article's shots, but definitely a great looking game!
Don't know what to tell you, but that's missing titles. Tetris GBA, as I just checked, was a stand alone title, and is still higher than Black Ops by a good bit.
Mario Kart Wii sold 28.3 mill. Black Ops sold 26.1 million between all devices it's on. FASTEST selling game, not the highest selling game. I also see that you edited in "in the USA". Had you said it was the highest selling game of all time in one region, I wouldn't have argued. Black Ops is not the highest selling game worldwide, however.
Edit: And even that is in question, as Tetris for the GBA sits higher than Black Ops. Not sure if it was ever bundled or...
Black Ops is the fastest selling game of all time, not the highest. Several Nintendo titles are higher.
OT: I always respect what this man has to say!
The PS3 and 360 are definitely not the same system. The exclusives alone are very different, never mind feature for feature.
OT: To IGN's question, it's never too late if you'd like to get into what a console has to offer. Many of the exclusive titles on the PS3 offer experiences you won't find anywhere else. For that, I'd check it out. Otherwise, if PlayStation-centric titles aren't your cup of tea, stick with the 360 and/or Wii.
Thank the Heavens!
Something tells me the deal is already sealed. :)
There's no need to introduce characters from one game into an entirely different IP just for the sake of saving characters. Why create characters from HR to put into a new IP? You aren't making sense. Where's the point in that? Where would they fit? Makes no sense.
HR truly is one shot story, Uncharted's story wasn't even as powerful, although sure, you could have ended it after Drake's Fortune. Still, that's even more of a reason why HR doesn't need a sequel. Frankly, it's good that it isn't getting one; the story's told.
It's not necessarily potential wasted if the story is already told. In Uncharted, the story wasn't finished, allowing for Among Thieves and now Drake's Deception. HR was a completely different beast, therefore the scenarios aren't really comparable.
He isn't "too cool" for sequels (if you read the article), his story in HR is already told. I'm glad he doesn't want to drag it on just "for the sake" of a sequel; there are enough sequels out there as it is.
However, I agree that he's use many of HR's assets in his next title(s).
Much respect Mr Cage!
Neither HD console is "mediocre", they just, obviously, are unable to keep up with the ever changing nature of the PC. Still, what these consoles have achieved are leaps and bounds above what the last gen provided and that's what counts from a technical perspective. God of War III, Uncharted 2, & Gears of War 3 were hardly sub-par experiences and their visuals sparked nothing but praise.
As for this beta, I haven't played it, but some of the comments in ...
Same here!
What does that have to do with marketshare?
Game installs have zero impact on marketshare.
Those negatives plague both HD consoles from time to time.
OT: Can't wait! I've wanted this since it was first unveiled years ago! Something tells me the wait was worth it!
I imagine it'll be remade on the PS3 and ported to Vita for a (hopefully) simultaneous release.
Really? Why wasn't Gears of War 3 given a 10? Things aren't always so cut and dry my friend.
OT: Just 30 minutes and I'm out to pick this bad boy up! Been a long, 4 year wait, but I'm sure it was worth it!
