Considering the PS3 is ahead in the whole of European territories, the catching and surpassing has already taken place.
The titles you mentioned are either full of quality or will be (once released). Second, I wouldn't expect too many new IPs this late in this generation, I'm thinking most devs are saving much of their new material for next gen machines.
You shouldn't expect any different from one hit wonder, hit-and-run posters. Their bubbles only allow for a comment that can't be replied to, so they make it as sensational as they can. :P
Anyway, I only watched a bit (don't need much to know how much I want this game).
With this being just a screenshot comparison, I don't think anything needs to be checked (even the full analysis agrees the PS3 version looked clearer - although they gave the 360 version the slight edge in visuals due to less jaggies and slightly better SSAO & lighting throughout).

Needless to say, I even went as far as sa...
The PS3 version looked a tad clearer in many pics and brighter in most pics. The 360 version seemed to have slightly better shadows. I'd all-in-all call it a tie, with the PS3 ahead, perhaps, just a tad.
Getting it on PS3 regardless, but if I had the PC to play, I'd go for that, easily.
VERY exciting! One of the reasons to truly own a specific system is Gears of War!
In Europe they will still lose to Sony regardless of a price cut or not, in Japan they're irrelevant, but in the Americas they should still win despite the PS3's cut.
He behaves that way in any Sony article he posts in. I wouldn't give him much energy.
OT: Looks like with Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, The Ico Collection & the $50 prcie cut, Sony has positioned themselves to take on the competition without much of an issue for the holidays!
Heavy Rain was actually officially announced @ E3 '06. It didn't get a PS3-exclusive announcement until Gamescom 2008. Just for clarification.
OT: I'm pretty excited for the show (more so than I was for E3). Seems like Sony has a few tricks up their sleeve!
@ Frigid: No, it really wasn't.
If you already own a PS3 AND a 360, why would would need/want Forza or Gears on PS3? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of owning a 360?
OT: Since I own both the PS3 & 360, I don't have a need to have any 360 games on the PS3 (or vice versa for that matter). Consoles don't need to share libraries, otherwise we have no need for console(s).
According to who?
OT: I'm hoping we hear more on this. The concept was pretty intriguing when it was first announced.
Nintendo has never had a 10-year plan and Sony has proven they can do it.....twice. I can't wrap my head around the rest of that, as much of it is either false or doesn't make sense.
OT: No, I doubt portable gaming, of any kind, will not kill the need for a home console. Considering more people bought home consoles this generation than last, seems that home gaming is on the rise.
There's not usually a fair outcome to an article like this. On one hand, you'll have people claiming they don't care for "x" game because it was"garbage" yadayadayada. On the other hand, you'll have people defending these said games till their blue in the face. Thankfully, not many people will get on here and debate about this stuff, they'll just either buy most of what's available or buy just what they'll enjoy.
More power to ...
I can honestly admit that I enjoyed Killzone 2's campaign more, but I must give credit where do. Killzone 3 was an improvement in just about every way imaginable. Unfortunately, I'm just not a big fan of multiplayer, so the majority of my playtime is mainly with both campaigns. Killzone 3's was a big step up, but I like the feel of Killzone 2's a bit more.
Have a source, because I remember nothing of the sort.
OT: Killzone 3 had a good deal of improvements over 2, so this isn't surprising.
What else can you expect from a hit and run poster, it's all he's allowed :)
OT: Definitely an unforgettable IP. November would have been a sweet month without Uncharted 3, but with it, the month is complete!
Best racing sim on the market? Doesn't it have to BE on the market first?
OT: I'm sure there is more they can get out of the hardware. That's a no brainer though.
November 26 (as of now).
Excellent ad! Get it out there Sony (as it also advertises the price cut).
